If the creators of the batman arkham games were to make another game based on a different character who would you want?
I'd say flash, don't know how but that's not my job.
Aquaman could be cool, same with Martian Manhunter.
One that I don't care as much about but could think of mechanics for is Green Lantern. Start off with a cutscene showing him getting the ring, then head to Oa and do the tutorial, maybe first boss fight is kilowag. Go to meeting with the Guardians who adding you your sector. Then the "open world" would be the ability to jump between planets based on alerts from the ring. And then story missions would be the same as arkham series where you are notified and go to an area. First game would be versus some alien race (can't think of any off the top of my head) second game sinestro turns yellow and is main enemy. Third game would be blackest day or something
I'd take other, however, on the list I'd have to choose Cyborg. I don't think he's the most interesting character but I think he is the only character that can reasonably function on a level comparable to Batman, possibly a bit higher, and his technological nature can keep the gameplay diverse and varied.
Constantine: Magic, DEMONS, Intelligent, Versatile and overall interessting story and a cool protagonist. A game with a good atmosphere and a gamplay mechanic like Uncharted or Infamous with not guns but magic abilities with upgrades would be great
OR
Martian Manhunter: Where you could choose to pick a certain ability and get different results a la Deus Ex. Where you could choose to use his Superhuman abilties like strength and speed, use shapeshift to get by as someone or use telepathy to get some informations without having to fight. Every action you take should change your upgrades and your story.
Constantine would be amazing.
I dont think these characters (most of'em not all of'em) aint has a rogue gallery like Batman's. And aint has a deep, dark, mysterious theme either.
Supe, WW, GL Corps, Another Batman Game (like Batman Beyond or TDKR Batman) can be satisfying but others are great characters but they're not a good materials for being a game protagonist.
I just cant matched with rocksteady's style with those characters.
Nightwing, Deathstroke would be nice.
Constantine would be amazing.
I've always said an Infamous/Fable type game with a Kryptonian would be cool. You start out as a no name kryptonian in an open city who only has enhanced speed and strength (like golden age supes) but throughout the game you collect solar orbs, yellow orbs give u access to more superman related abilities like heat vision and flight, blue orbs give you access to H'El style abilities like teleportation and tk and black orbs give you random extra abilities like hand blasts etc. Maybe spend some of your points in just speed to create a speedster style character and become as evil or good as you want depending on your in game decisions. Wear various superman costumes and come blow to blow with his biggest enemies culminating in a final battle with Darkseid/Brainiac/Or Superboy prime (superman if you favor the evil side)
From those propsed in OP, Constantine, hands down. It would fit grim vibe of Arkham series very well and hopefully elevate it on hole new level.
From those unproposed:
- DC: Nightwing, Green Arrow or Deathstroke
- Marvel: Spider-Man, Deadpool, Daredevil or Punisher
Superman? Flash? Not happening. What would the game even be.
Cyborg you can make AAA action. You could upgrade Vic like Megaman. Or an open world action rpg for Wonder Woman.
Superman can easily be a story mode based DBZ style game.. He's literally the easiest out of everyone here to give a game.
Aquaman would probably be the best. Creators cant really do games like flash, supes,mm, gl because its just too complicated, so much stuff to do. They could easily grasp the underwater concept of Atlantis, (have atlantis as one free roam world and the outer world as the second). Great villains as well, underwater battles (if ur outer world free roam for too long your powers weaken). Aquaman would defo be the best, stress free and something banging.
Motoko Kusanagi (GitS)
Spike Spiegel (CB)
Saitama (OPM)
Kurapika (HxH) set in Yorknew City Arc
Edward Elric (FMA)
@kingyang: superman would be easy it can play like saints row or prototype the main villain could be brainiac or darkseid so instead of fighting humans u would be fighting brainiacs probes and darkseids parademons as the common enemies around metropolis streets and there are variations of them and u would also run or fly around the city saving people as side missions like in the spiderman games and there is also side bosses like doomsday etc

Exactly, Superman would be the best character to have a game for due to his versatility. Fun powers, great villains, cool story lines. I wouldn't even mind the fighting to be like DBZ tenchishi (or however you say it)
Why are so many people saying Constantine? Have you guys ever read an issue of Hellblazer? What about Constantine would make him adaptable to an action video game? The "detective" parts of the Arkham series were the weakest parts. If any video game developer were to tackle Constantine it should be Telltale Games or the people who made LA Noire.

Where's Green Arrow, his game can be the sequel of the Arkhamverse, I mean they've given him an Easter egg in Origins and Knight why not use him now.

I think a Green Arrow game would be a lot better as a shooter. Arkhamverse is about close combat. Green Arrow is about his bow and arrow.
