why didn't they use HOTU Thanos?
just curious. they used Composite Darkseid but not Composite Thanos for some reason..

@jashro44: if we're going by that logic is the infinity gauntlet his actual power either?
@immoralimmortal: No but thanos has used it in different mediums. People basically associate the gauntlet with thanos. Very few people outside of battle forums probably know about the heart of the universe.
Screewattack Superman still one shots them all
They do that kind of stuff all the time. They say full composite versions of characters but often leave out the most powerful versions of the ones they have lose. Whether they just don't know about them because they don't actually do research or they intentionally leave it out because they're biased and already have a winner in mind is debatable I guess.
@pipxeroth: they referenced specific canon versions. In Darkseid's case it was post crisis; they stated that.

Nope, all Darkseids are canon, pre-crisis included. They said it themselves.
Well, if they included current Thanos (more powerful than HOTU).. the battle would've ended in the first 10 seconds of the fight. Besides, it was never fair to begin with.
@thebestofthebest: ...how powerful is current Thanos?
@kanyecosby: He's in possession of something divine known as the Regulator, there are infinite of these in the multiverse, their purpose is to maintain balance across all of creation by isolating each reality/universe/dimension from its counterpart thus preventing chaos from spilling over. However, Thanos currently has his hands on one of the said regulators and it already made him far more potent than every single abstract, cosmic entity and powerful artifacts such as the I.G and whatnot, within' the Marvel creation and its entirety combined, including TLT. Hell, not even the friggin' TOAA himself could prevent it from happening nor destroy Thanos (he outright stated it on panels). In short, he's one OP mudafuka.
Edit: I'll post the scans later.
@thebestofthebest: Damn, they just keep thinking of new ways to give even more powerful amps to Thanos. He probably has to be one of the most powerful composite characters in all of comics. Just for clarification, did the TOAA say that he couldn’t prevent it from happening or did Thanos say that the TOAA couldn’t prevent it from happening?
@kanyecosby: @thebestofthebest:I gotchu fam. Also, TOAA has never been omnipotent. This just officially confirms it.
And this is (technically) prior to Thanos being "better than omnipotence" (not really possible but whatever)
Because they're biased hurr durr
For real though, I think they try and use the most powerful, well known versions of each character they pick. For example, they used WBH, but not space punisher Hulk, etc.

Ikr! TOAA said it himself (Post #15).
Ichigo would’ve stomped Naruto in composite versions. Casual attack at continental, and that could be spammed.
Oh we aren’t talking about anime and manga...ok
