If MCU ever does New Mutants, can they get Warlock right?

No, not Adam Warlock... just Warlock.

• Not a human mutant with technopath powers.
• Not a robot.
• Not a sentient computer virus turned good.
• Not of Earth origin at all.

But an honest-to-god Technarch, a living techno-organic race from the planet of Kvch, considered a "mutant" only in the sense that he's mutant in spirit as he's compassionate unlike his peers, and fights for his adopted home alongside the other New Mutants.

The Fox movie, which will likely no have impact, removes Warlock for being too unrealistic, because of course. But the MCU would likely make the New Mutants a true superhero team.

So can they get it right?

They probably could, but it'd be a lot of character work (spotlighting, backstory etc.). Also, MCU stories succeed because they keep to a few tight themes in each movie. Even movies with tons of characters appearing. So an MCU New Mutants movie would probably focus on human mutants as opposed to mutants in general, so as to narrow the focus. Maybe he'd appear in a New Mutants 2, to expand the notion of difference and prejudice beyond human concerns.

I think that his powerset would be too powerful for the group or to characterize properly. He'd be depowered to be just a CGI guy who has like a virus touch or something. I think his personality would be hard to get a handle on and they might make him overly comic relief.
