We know Nolan was involved in MOS, but what if he had total control? How would things have turned out?

How would each movie have been affected?

Nolan was involved with Man of Steel. Some people who frequent this site say it's a masterpiece. I don't agree, but I do firmly believe that if Nolan had remained involved in the burgeoning DCEU, most of the crap we got wouldn't have even made it to production. I am not saying each movie would be without issue, but they would be better than what we eventually received.

There wouldn't have been a BvS or Justice League yet. There would have been a MOS 2 by now. If there had been a Suicide Squad it would have been rated R because of all the murder. Also, there probably would have been something unexpected like Mister Miracle or the Metal Men.

Every time Nolan wants to empathize how important what a character is about to say he likes to make them whisper it....

Also the fight scenes would be pretty garbage if Nolan doesn't additional people to help him on that

He’s not a studio head he’s a filmmaker, big difference. It’s not the same as managing a large group of people. Most of your studio heads have 0 filmmaking credits outside of producing...

@Penguin-Dust: I think it was WB's idea to make MOS 2 into BvS. I think Zack wanted to do a real sequel first.

WB knows Nolan is profitable enough to not question his decisions much, so there'd be far less studio interferance, for starters.

More unconventional narrative devices, 200% more dead wives, maybe a theme about lies at some point ("For the Man who Has Evrything" adaptation?). Seeing as how he already did his take on Batman, I expect that property to be the one he least works on, giving Snyder, Affleck or whoever he chooses carte blanche.

As for individual movies, MoS becomes less visually pretentious, BvS is either legit MoS 2 or cuts back on the plot threads (though there'd still be a lot), and I haven't seen SS or JL.

You may very well be right, but I believe that Nolan has more clout than Snyder, more power and could push back especially after gifting WB the Dark Knight trilogy.

Snyder teased a Batman-Superman conflict two weeks after MOS was released. I don't think he had a plan to do a MOS sequel. He was probably on wait and watch mode until MOS was released.

He wouldn't bother and lol at fights being rubbish as if he'd direct every single movie. Besides Nolan's vehicular action is second to none in Hollywood. DCEU fanboys can come back when their films produce action scenes on par with the 4 chase scenes in TDKT. All we've gotten so far is bad CGI drivel.

DCEU would have had a series of genuinely brilliant films as opposed to misunderstood masterpieces.

The answer to over 50 threads titled "is MoS / BvS / SS / JL a misunderstood masterpiece" would be yes.

This.

Batman and Superman would have actually had a real conversation and we would have seen how fundamentally different they are. Nolan would have given them more reasons to fight than crayola written notes. We would have saw the birth of a genuine friendship as well.
