My intent is not to start a flame war but to see who has the most creative way Superman could escape.

Ground rules:

1. Current comic versions.

2. The floor is indestructible.

3. Supes is not worthy.

4. Supes is on his own, can't summon aid i.e. Atom can't arrive and shrink him.

Happy comic day!

He could probably just vibrate out of the way via the ground. But he isnt lifting it off his chest anytime soon.

Hm. Wonder if he can just sink into the ground and... slide out from under it? Sounds awkward.

Freeze it at absolute zero and punch it as hard as he could sideways. And hopefully break it.

@rbt: Wont work. The hammer has been in absolute temperatures before, unencumbered. Plus I doubt Superman can freeze it to absolute zero in the first place.

Uh, I don't know if he can make it out. Perhaps slowly inch his way to the side of the hammer until he escapes.

This would be another option. Don't know if it would work considering all the magic mumbo jumbo on Mjolnir.

Being in space is not same as being in absolute zero. Unless the Mjolnir has tanked something specified to be absolute zero before, it should be able to. Especially repeatedly.

@rbt: I never said space. It was frozen with Thor to absolute zero levels and it was completely unharmed in any way. It has also managed fine in the core of the sun, whenever Thor went there.

Well, if it was mentioned to be frozen in absolute zero, then you're right. Do you have a scan of that by any chance?

Superman freezes his suit to absolute zero while he slips out of it, the suit will hold it's shape because it's frozen.

If he isn't worthy I don't know if he could get out. I would think if he tries to burrow underground the hammer would still just follow because of you know, that little thing called gravity. Unless he can vibrate fast enough to phase then maybe.

But that wasn't absolute zero if the armor was radiating thermal energy.

@rbt: That was Banner suit doing that to keep part of his body warm. Thor was already frozen to those levels before Hulk rescued him.

I'd assume it'd be like whipping a tablecloth off of a table with dishes on it. Just quickly slide out from underneath. Supes has the speed and strength to get out from under it.

Call Flash have him vibrate him out or Superman could use his super Speed to outrun it.

As long as he keeps his body level he could just slide out under it since he can fly. If it is placed on the highest part of his chest when laying down it should be easy.

He might be able to blow if off him or use his laser visions to cut something, knocking the hammer off him. Or he could maybe push the planet in such a way that space is created and he could escape.

Just fly downwards through the earth at high speeds and then back up out of the ground.

...Maybe he could just roll over?

Superman might not be able to lift it but since Thor's blows with the hammer have been blocked or misdirected before, I'd think Superman would have enough strength to just kind of push it with his body as he rolled over onto his side.

Lol no, super breath isn´t moving mjolnir a single inch, nothing is moving mjolnir unless they are worthy for that matter.

I'm pretty sure the enchantment only applies towards wielding Mjolnir. It still has weight, therefore it's still susceptible to some laws of physics.

Nobody has ever being able to move mjolnir a single inch if they are not worthy, super-breath won´t do the trick, mjolnir defies the laws of physics as most comic book characters and objects.

Pretty sure Death Seed Sentry directly stopped it with TK. Superman using his super breath is about as passive as you can get. It's literally the same thing as a strong wind moving a heavy hammer, except that wind originates from Superman.

Mjolnir doesn't fall down when someone drops it? That's just gravity. I'm pretty sure I've seen characters punch Mjolnir away and even out o Thor's hands. Seems like it moves more than an inch in all of those cases.

@buttersdaman000: Accept you cant compare TK to super breath.

Yeah, I know. One is actively using powers to control the movement of the hammer, enchantment be damned. The other is 100% passive as long as the hammer should be concerned. Superman's not wielding it in any way, shape or form.
