How will the MCU Avengers defeat Thanos? (MCU)

In the comics, the earth's heroes always had access to plethora of genius such as Reed, Pym and T'challa, who could always pull out new technologies and counter measures out their arses whenever the cosmos was threatened. Tony's level of technology expertise is no where near that of Read or his comic counterpart, so just how are they going defeat Thanos? With all the infinity stones, Thanos would be just shy of invincible. I am guessing Strange and Odin will play a big part

Also, Reed wouldn't be able to make here cause you know, he's on the other side of the wall with Fox.

It was stated by Brolin that Thanos may not even get all the stones in the first film.

They already said there r two gloves...not that hard to see where this is going IMO...

i think warlock will be substituted with vision or wanda by "sharing" a connection with the mind stone...and use that to somehow tap into the gauntlet. If they murder off the vision i could see that as being sort of retribution, and it gives a big moment to one of the younger avengers who will probably continue on in the mcu with the role whereas some of the older ones probably will not.

Everyone plays to their strengths. A Hulk,Thor, Vision, heavy hitters, ok yea Warlock huge fight vs Thanos, while Stark, BP, Witch, Strange and company use tech/magic.

They already said that drax will play an important role in the film so I can see nebula taking the glove off him and drax ripping his heart out

theres a lot of articles stating how he is not going to be in it. could be BS but iw ouldnt bank on it, considering they said ayesha is returning with adam in GotGv3

@staticspeedster: not still...his only contribution to the IG was knowing what Thanos was doing through his connection to the soul stone which is not in play here. he assembled the heroes, took surfer to the other side of the galaxy and waited while they fought to tell surfer to try to snatch the gauntlet and that failed too...you wont find a bigger Jim Starlin, IG fan then me, but Warlock is not in this, there is almost no reason for him to be there. it is somewhat based on infinity gauntlet but also Infinity by hickman, which had nothing to do with Warlock.

Thanos usually loses because he subconsciously wants to lose, he doesn't believe he is worthy of the power he gains. If they give him an actual personality, that could work.

Strange using the Time stone.

Or like in the comics vision takes the place of Adam Warlock. Thanos took the stone from Warlock, but Warlock became connected with the soul stone and basically hacked the gauntlet. Vision could hack the gauntlet.

Good call considering Drax was made for this sole purpose and Nebula/Gamora has intimate(family per se) connections to Thanos!!

Living tribunal will come down and God stomp the enraged Barney. He's confirmed in the MCU

Cap will take Thanos H2H and punch him into another dimension.

They won't defeat him in the first film they'll lose. But it's gonna need to be like Cap or Iron Man to finally defeat him probably at the cost of their own lives

Black Widow will kneel before him in a bikini and offer herself as his servant seductively.

Then Thanos gon' be like:

Thanos will let his guard down, and as she comes closer, seemingly preparing for fellatio, she will suddenly say:

"There's just one problem... you messed with my friends!"

At the last second she'll squeeze his balls as hard as she can and whip the Infinity gauntlet off him as he cries out in pain before ripping Thanos' dick off with it in one swift motion.

Thanos (his one weakness exploited) will then dissolve into nothingness like the Wicked Witch of the West.
