How strong will the Karma seals be? (Naruto)

So, in the Boruto Manga, we have finally seen Boruto's seal in action.

From what we have seen so far, It is called a karma seal, Boruto gained it after dealing the killing blow on Momoshiki. Momoshiki stated that only by killing an otsutsuki, can one gain the Karma seal.

It wasn't until chapter 23, where we See Boruto use the jutsu to absorb a fire style Jutsu. And we have just seen an unconscious Kawaki debut in the same chapter with a karma seal on his arm as well.

Boruto essentially used the preta path imo but can you use paths without a rinnegan? What's interesting is the ninja-tech gauntlet also revolved around absorbing juts i.e. preta path. I have no idea what's going on.

One of the theories I've seen is that you get the special ability of the alien maggot you kill which is why Boruto can absorb ninjutsu.

But Momo didn't just absorb ninjutsu, he had the rinnegan. Does Boruto have access to all 6 paths without the main dojutsu? I hope not, too confusing.

It's basically the preta path but he can reverse it.

It's more hax than raw power so I'd say he's more like Sasuke in regards of skill set and power.

@heatforce: Might be something boruto develops later. If boruto get's all rinnegan abilities he'll get stronk. Another theory is that Kawaki can release the jutsu's boruto absorbs.

• Karma is the concept that actions have consequences that reflect them, which might be what inspired Momoshiki's ability to reflect Ninjutsu, which Boruto's seal is derived from. But more interestingly, it is also the first out of the Eight Rights that constitute the Noble Eightfold Path in Buddhism.
  
  
• Surprisingly, Samadhi the name of the ability used by Kashin Koji is also one of those Rights. So, could these Rights be the inspiration behind the seals' abilities? And if so, is the True Fire of Samadhi used by Kashin Koji actually the ability of his own seal?

1. "Karma" is about the very first "Right". The right view, the perfect understanding of life and that each action has big consequences reflected within the cycle (an example in a nutshell: you might get reincarnated into the Naraka Path, the worst realm of all, if your actions during a previous life were horrible). So, it kinda fits well with Momoshiki's ability to reflect amplified Ninjutsu (he gives you back double of what you give him).

2. "Sankappa", the second right, is about thought. To clear one's mind of harmful intent and to pacify. So an ability that could be inspired from this would be for example, the ability to neutralize the opponent somehow.

3. "Vaaca", the right speech.

4. "Kamanta", the right conduct.

5. "Ajiva", the right livelihood.

6. "Vayama", the right effort that protects against evil and prevents disrupting balance.

7. "Saati", the right mindfulness. Mindfulness is the practice of awareness.

8. "Samadhi", the right concentration. The absolute meditative state reached through true concentration. In a Chinese novel, called "Red Boy", a boy managed to make such highly concentrated flames that they were inextinguishable, which he dubbed as "True Samadhi Fire", which can roughly be translated to "True Concentration Fire".

If the Buddhism lore becomes prevalent in Boruto he'll be overpowered as sh1t.
