How realistic is this feat?
It's not.
but he's enhanced!

the closest thing we have to 'enhanced' is steroids and I doubt many athletes who use steroids can replicate such a feat. Perhaps some high level strength athletes in the NFL and WSM can do it for 1-3 seconds but not very long.
I could pull it off.
I think this guy can pull it off.

When did comic fans become so boring?

unrealistic. Record for curling is like 215lbs. Cap was curling 14 times that amount.
Interesting. So Cap is like 14x stronger than a real life peak human (strength).
I think people are too focused on Cap's strength, when they should be wondering why either the rail or the helicopter's landing skids didn't break off from what they were attached to (the helicopter or the cement the railing is bolted to). The way Cap is pulling looks like the force is moving in favour of the helicopter, and that thrust seems plenty to cause structural damage if it was attached to anything.
Someone with a physics background could calculate this all out. Could probably entertain structural and mechanical engineers with this.
@the_fallen_lord: no, what he did and curling are not similar at all.
Not very.
@tj849: A peak bodybuilder will get his arms dislocated by the force of the helicopter taking off...
It's not.
people keep forgetting about the fact that the rotor wash from when the helo lifts should/would floor Cap. so as far as realism goes, its way off. but yes, the arms would be broken or the rail or skids. too much force involved for realism.
It's not.
It's not. For one, letting go like that would've destabilized Cap to the point of falling. Also, as someone already pointed out, that helicopter would be sustaining some serious damage.
I mean, this is ignoring the fact that no one of that size and muscle mass, regardless of any "enhancements," could ever pull something like this off.

Pretty sure most strongmen don't take steroids.
Didn't Chris Evans actually do this? Apparently he really messed up his arm though and still gets pains to this day.

I thought that they had something holding up the helicopter too so he probably had a lot of help to keep it in place.

Yeah they had something to hold it in place so it didn't fly off (obviously xD) but I think that was actually him pulling/holding the helicopter without any special effects.

there really isn't much to prove they aren't except just taking their word for it (obviously none of them will admit to it while they are in the middle of their careers) however some strong men who are now retired came out and said they used it while training/recovering from injuries.
... soooo we are just going to look at feats for realism? Cuz that will nullify almost all of them for everyo
It's fantasy. Additionally the scene is stupid because a helicopter should lift better than it can move laterally in a situation where its partially anchored. Bucky's a bad pilot and should have flown upwards.
Seriously though, what is the point of these threads?. Do you honestly think any of this looks realistic in any way?.
Use your head, OP. For once.
When did comic fans become so condescending?
I know, right?
Next feat:
First time I noticed he dents the hell outta that car with that kick. Probably shouldn't have been surprised but I was.

Really? That's badass
