II heard he is as strong as Superman, faster than Supergirl, Superboy, and Superman combined (without teleportation), has teleportation, telekinesis, a pretty powerful telepath etc...
I also have a question is he faster than new 52 Flash?

Maybe H'el is a fake kryptonian and was actually born in Hawai'i ? Mahalo.
I LIKE IT!!!
Hey! Maybe... He's a " Hybrid " Kryptonian/Hawaiian! That would explain him being so much more powerful... LOL!!! Are you a local boy? and "Colony of cells" ? Are you a biologist?
I am not from Hawai'i but I know they like to use apostrophe on words. I have tried poi (fermented taro). I only study biology as a hobby. H'el has so many powers that he is beginning to look more like Duplicate Boy, Mimic, Super Adaptoid. When the Martian Manhunter started in Detective Comics in the silver age, he was reputed to have 100 super powers.
@Dayvid3: Well my theory since he actually grew up on krypton until his late teens he knows the full potential of a kryptonian, personally I love his extra abilities.
@Dernman: Hmmm I like it it's one of the best stories right now with death of the family, and thrown of Atlantis.
Well, he had the power to literally break Superboy''s DNA in half.
'Course, Kon just passed out in pain as opposed to, y'know... F***ing dying on the spot, and Superman's suit somehow had the medical technology to treat him. So unless we've just thrown all logic out the window, I'm thinking H'el just shot him with a severe appendicitis ray and bulls****ed about the DNA part to make himself look cool.
I like the character, but I'm growing impatient waiting to find out how his abilities are more advanced (and perhaps a clear outline of what they are). I don't think we have to wait until a "final battle" to find out his full-background. Given the feats he's shown with his telekinesis & ability to teleport others seemingly anywhere - I'm just imagining it's going to take some plot-trick to take him down.

I still don't quite understand why he's got the extra abilities, is my only problem with him. Maybe I missed something, is he some sort of altered kyprtonian?
As I understand it, he, like all, kryptonians, absorbs all solar radiation beyond red sunlight. Out among the stars, where he traveled in that first rocket, he passed through all kinds of stars and energy fields Superman and the gang can't even imagine. H'el absorbed the energy from those, and got a metric crapload more power than Superman has, since Superman and Supergirl both have only spent time around our yellow sun.

@lightsout: don't forget matter manipulation :)
I just think he got his alternate abilities naturally I'm probably wrong though.
.....I'm too lazy to check..when was that? :D (if you're referencing the DNA stuff, IMO that'd just be very advanced TK - moving all the tiny molecules around "with your mind" (though I guess it's splitting hairs since I guess you could classify all matter manip. as hyper-strong/advanced TK).
I'd like it if it were like that too. It could be the pinnacle of Kryptonian (under yellow sun) potential. An explanation for large objects not crumbling when Supes holds them was some sort of tactile-kinesis (when he grabs crap his energy flows around it, holding it in place), so I always thought of Superboy's tactile-telekinesis/pure-telekinesis was a "higher potential unlocked" version of that (since he's a hybrid, and typically when you create a hybrid if inherits the best qualities of both halves - and thus Superboy could perhaps tap into a higher level of these abilities (though Supes is the Godfather & so he'll always be written as the best). So if Supes unconsciously uses this ability to manipulate large objects, and Superboy can consciously manipulate both objects he has contact with and far ones (in some incarnations), I wouldn't put it past for someone of their physiology to take the psionic aspects of their powers even further.
@Clark_EL Yea, he was part of what drives that theory in my mind - including the "he should be stronger but he's not the main character (Goku) so in the end he won't be the big savior" part (but I fear mixing DBZ with traditional-comics, given the reactions many people have here, lol). Oh yea. I remember that part now. For real.....we need an explanation of how H'el got this advanced, haha.
He`s very powerful but I find him to be overrated in some aspects just like New 52 Superman, what makes him unique is his versatility.
H'El is DC's Broly
Legendary Super Kryptonian and shizzle.
could he be a kryptonian kherubim hybrid?? it could be a way to introduce Majestic and it would explain him being so much more powerful.
that or the travelling he made, he must have experienced and passed through lots of crap, who knows what effect that had on his abilities
EITHER WAY
H'El is the Broly of DC. I called it. it's the final truth now and no one can say otherwise
I reckon that H'el is a normal Kryptonian and has gained these different powers from different suns while on his travels through space.

Good thinking... But wouldn't he need to recharge the energy by, for example, sun dipping just like Superman?
Thats also something that bothers me with him, he has all these seemingly random powers but you dont even know if they are his own or if hes using some kind of story device we dont know about yet.
The is the Legendary Hyper krypto-jin (LHKJ)
:)

H'El is basically nerfed up Kal kent superman
Kal Kent was much more powerful than H'El has shown to be
@buttersdaman000: I agree on that .
