I think people are underestimating live action speedsters. Low supersonic reactions alone are not that rare in mid-high street level. Litteraly simple bullet timing alone can be low end supersonic.

@anthp2000: no one underestimates love action speedsters. If you want some fast ones, look at Smallville superman, DCEU Superman, FOX Quicksilver, all the flashes, etc.

MCU Quicksilver is just slow. It's embarrassing that he died by running into bullets. In universe, he's fast because everyone is literally slower than him. He's a good benchmark to show that no one in MCU (except him) is supersonic in running, attacking or reaction since no one could stop him except bullets

that's not a good argument. He could still statue the entire Avengers barring Thor, who he slow-mo'd, and they scale to bullet timers. Someone like Black Panther actually has a low end supersonic reaction feat, he'd still be a statue to Pietro.

No one in the avengers scales to bullet timing nor did anyone of them have bullet timing feats when they fought quicksilver. Reacting or dodging a bullet is not indicative of supersonic speed unless there's context to how it was done. In any manner, no one in the avengers could even stop quicksilver even when he wasn't going at his top speed.

Reacting to a supersonic projectile casually does in fact prove supersonic reactions. Panther has sliced down a bullet in 3 at close range, and litteraly most if not all of the Avengers scale from him. I'm not saying they're bullet timers now, but they're close enough to keep up with someone like T'Challa fine. If Pietro can statue someone on the high subsonic-low supersonic range, he's damn far faster than that.

Also, Slingshot is probably faster than Quicksilver. She's from Agents of SHIELD.

This is the same for every MCU character I've seen barring quicksilver.

Panther is not any of the other avengers and has never moved at supersonic speeds a day in his life. If you're going to keep bringing up this stupid tie in comic to scale to characters when panther didn't cut a bullet but it bounced off his skin, then stop it. That hasn't indication of supersonic speeds. Show explicit footage of any of those avengers moving at supersonic speeds. Quicksilver didn't even move at supersonic speeds when he was "blitzing" the avengers

@jashugan: Stark can break the sound barrier and he was a legit statue to QS. Thor can break the sound barrier, and he was in slow motion to QS. Hulk has reacted to Mach speed projectiles.

So, that’s 4 avengers so far who have feats > speed of sound. Where is your argument again?

@xzone: stark can break the sound barrier mid flight while in a vehicle (iron man suit). This is not indicative of his speed anywhere else or his perception. This is as dumb as implying a human is faster than sound by being in a jet.

Thor can break the sound barrier in flight while using mjolnir. Without it or stormbreaker, he can't even fly. He's never ran, reacted, nor moved at even the speed of sound.

Hulk can not move at the speed of sound.

Quicksilver is faster than Thor who has been proven over, and over, and over, and over again to be supersonic, moved normally while a bullet was in slow mo, and saved Hawkeye from supersonic bullets while not at his best. So supersonic+ to hypersonic.

Reactions? Can see handgun bullets in slowmo. A typical Glock 17 has a muzzle velocity of around 375m/sec which is slightly faster than Mach1. So he should have reactions slightly faster than Mach1.

Travel speed is debatable. Difficult to assign exact numbers. Shouldn't be faster than Mach 2-3. He certainly isn't fast enough to statue the Minigun bullets that killed him which were like Mach 2.5

His reactions are quite good with how he looked quizzically at the bullet before his eyes for several seconds. His travel speed is mach 1 because Whedon said it is. His AP is fantastic for a speedster and really makes him standout. His durability is suspect because he got oneshotted by Cap.

He’s at the very least 10x faster than caps shield throw which on average are 40mph. It’s too hard for me to tell how much the shield moves though
