How did Harley Quinn get so good ?

Initially she was a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum who use to have therapy sessions with various inmates. How is it when she joins the joker she quickly changes into a high class martial artist, who can trade blows with Batman for a while ? Especially seeing the joker himself has proven to not be as good of a fighter.

Because just being eye-candy and a crazy chick doesn't cut it. Oh and writers' reasons, that's why.

Who cares, it's comic books. Every character has some degree of H2H skill.

Except Wolverine.

Isn't the Joker as inconsistent with his fighting abilities? He has traded blows Batman as well.

It is explained somewhere that Harley has acrobatic experience thanks to being a cheerleader in college or something like that.

Tbh OP, who knows....but then I kinda prefer TAS Harley over any other version.

Also DC really confuses me on the JokerXHarley relationship, one minute they fight eachother, they next they are hugging and doing stuff together...wtf DC.

Old Harley just swung around a mallet. Post FP needed the independent from joker edge so they gave her credibility in h2h as a way to defend herself

@nite_nite: Because a giant mallet and having a gun(believe she had a freaking handcannon for a gun) means she can't defend herself....right...it's a freaking giant mallet, I'd take that over fists any day, one good hit, goodbye whoever is on the receiving end..

@wolfrazer: yeah I feel you but now she's dangerous with most weapons as well as unarmed. Now she actually goes around killing w/o a second thought. She's finally independent from joker and a full fledged woman. That's how DC is looking at it.
