How credible is VsWiki and VsBattles?

For characters or is it just wank? I've noticed they use Gameplay mechanics in a lot of their calcs for Fire Emblem characters

This has been done before. VsBattle has a bad tendency to be charitable and their calcs are often based on assumptions and stretches, and then they use those calcs to scale other characters, which leaves us with pretty bad information. An easy example of this would be Deep Sea King and Iaian's speed calcs. They both work on the assumption that "snail speed" is a sufficient timeframe. But it's pretty much unjustified in both instances. As well as the distance traveled while "snail speed" is applied, is also unjustified.

You can just check Pegasus Seiya's profile and see how high they can inflate feats. Such as him making a small crater being equivalent to Island Level.

They are either horribly wank and take everything at face value. Or they horribly downplay verses that they don't want to see surpass the verses they thought were top tier for over a decade. Even if they contradict themselves and have an obvious double standard.

@mee09: Zoro on the brink of death was dodging Kuma’s light canon (this is based off of kizarus ability) and his pad canons which were stated by himself to be air canons shot at LS. This was thriller bark zoro. This should put Luffy a decent bit above LS.

With the way you can reply, quote, and add scans, gifs, or links here leads CV down the path great coherent debates... we have our fair amount of trolls and bad actors, but in general CV is where it’s at.

I don’t know what the value of a comparison like this is really, they have a different way of looking at things than people on this site. CV is a bit of a bubble in that there seems to be this idea that there is one specific correct way to answer vs battles questions when there really isn’t

VSWiki calcs are just a ballpark of where the characters are at and if the feats are clear then the results will be more accurate ofc.

Way better than the shit that is going on here on CV threads though where people just angsize with their eyes and don't take everything else into consideration

Look at the Fairy Tail and Dragon Ball profiles, and you can look how far hyperbole can be wanked. The credibility of such wikis are questionable.

VSBattles relies too heavily on scaling based off other characters and not off direct feats. Almost every character that I've seen only has one feat to justify their tier, which often makes it incorrect.

Multiversal Doomguy is a thing now on VSBattles, you can judge that for yourselves.

On the topic of FTL, is it not out of the question to say zoro and Luffy are both FTL? If you can remember all the way back in Thriller Bark, kuma explained that his pad canons are air canons being launched AT LS, and zoro while on the brink of death dodges multiple of these. If you can remember, from the same fight Kuma also fires the light weapon that Pacifistas have (remember, said light weapon is based on Kizaru’s ability who is a light person). This was zoro nearing death and on top of that it’s Thriller Bark zoro who isn’t even that strong to begin with (at least compared to timeskip zoro). And of course Luffy should scale above or equal to zoro at this point (and then there’s Gear Second, and gear four which give him a nice boost to speed. Gear fourth also obviously gives him a boost in all physical stats). In Saboady Archipelago when they fought the pacifistsas for the first time, they were dodging the light beams that they were firing. And then of course on the first episode of the timeskip Luffy casually dodges multiple light beams from a pacifista and comments that it was very slow (admittedly, this could be because of the fact that he learned observation haki, but it would still count for a feat nonetheless.).

For Vs battle wiki case :

1)sometimes they downplay and wank characters

2)their tiering system and most of their explanations are very good

3) they don't insult people and it's less toxic

4) they ban trolls and they prevent threads from being drilled

5) sometimes they rely on scaling instead feats

6) even DB fans in Vs battle wiki are very respectful and they don't follow Power >> hax logic nonsense

For CV case :

1) they keep downplaying and wanking characters all the time

2)they keep drilling threads with troll arguments and mods are just watching

3)mods doesn't ban trolls (then I really don't know what's the point of being a mod on this site tbh)

4)very toxic even Naruto forums might be better tbh

5) DB fans on CV are literally the worst category like even Space battles doesn't wank DB that much.

The only reason CV is even remotely better are the CaVs (which any site can implement in their own way) and some amazing people (like divinemaster). The amount of trolls here is disgusting, either downplayers or wankers. On the other hand, vsbattles is super gullible as they believe a lot of the flowery language present everywhere, as well as the big one, their flawed bs tiering system. They're much better at dealing with trolls, unlike CV. Their odd knack for speed equal matches is also bs, but it's not always used.
