AoS stomps. Better characters, lore, storylines, action scenes, etc.

The second half of the season was too mediorce for me to vote for AOS.

AoS S2 is the weakest of the show IMO, but it's still better than Arrow.

AoS S2. Both were good but AoS was better, plain and simple.

Any reason why? I thought the consensus was that Season 1 was the weakest.

Personally, I find S1 far too overhated. I adored the second half obviously, and the thing I believe people are missing about the first half is the world building about it. It might look pointless at first but they set up pretty much everything for the later seasons. HYDRA, The Centipedes, Aliens etc.

As for why I think S2 is weaker, I subjectively don't like too many superpowers, and I found the ending unsatisfying, I mostly couldn't get into Cal at all. The only things I particularly enjoyed (which makes the season great) is the Bobbi/Hunter arc as well as the relationship of Daisy and Lincoln (low key GOAT character in the show too). Other than that, I honestly found the villain-of-the-week approach more fun in S1.

Of course I loved the entire series either way. I liked Arrow S1/2/3 a lot, but I don't think I'd ever use the word "love" to describe anything in there.

@anthp2000: I can understand. Tbh I still like S1 even though I view the first half to be the weakest section of the series (and even then I thought that it was still enjoyable).

I think S2 is my favorite since I felt that it had just the right amount of connectivity to the MCU movies, while still being able to stand on it's own.

The addition of Bobbi, Hunter, Mack, and Trip (still hated that he died) into the main cast was also a plus.

@the_magister: Yeah it sucks though, I had a bunch of threads lined up that I wanted to get started on. I wanted to do a 2nd MCU History Thread, update the Daredevil and Iron Fist Respect threads, and start some manga/anime respect threads I had put on the back burner. And catch up on the Daisy Johnson fight scenes videos. I have free time during the weekends now but probably won't get started on those until I'm used to my new class schedule.

If there's any season of Arrow that would beat an AoS season it's Arrow S2. But AoS S2 just gets better with every revisit, and is just objectively better on all fronts.
