Has Samurai Jack season 5 been a let-down?
- Hell to the no!!! Its been amazingly brilliant and every episode has been better then the last.
- Its like Someone combined God of War with The Good the Bad and Ugly,Seven Samurai,The Seventh Seal and Blade Runner.
I've got a few complaints, but I might do a review when the season is over. Biggest problem I have is the Ashi/Jack ship... it just doesn't make sense and it feels forced
Hell no. It was awesome and was not episodic which annoyed me in the previous season. A bit rushed, but overall just a beatiful piece of animation and great execution given they had 10 episode. I thought Ashi relationship was alright, could have been better. That being said I really did like Ashi character who was a badass and sympathetic.
It was a bit rushed toward the end. They really needed more episodes. But it was enjoyable, and a fitting end to the story. I just wish Jack and Aku had more time together.
The Ashi/Jack romance felt way out of left field. Especially since Jack is so much more worldly/experienced than her, and we watched Ashi grow up from infanthood. Felt like they had several generation gaps between them, and the chemistry went from 0-100(in a bad way) real fast. Other than that, it's been fun.
I never felt his relationship with Ashi, Honestly at first I considered it a Father-Daughter relationship
