Oliver Jonas Queen, the Green Arrow
"You ask hard questions. I thought about it. Perhaps if the courts were more concerned with justice than 'law' there would be no need for men like me. Look around and see a young woman murdered by a man on work release from prison... Or a three-time rapist let out after only a year in jail... And I have to ask myself: where's the justice? I don't envy you your job. You have to deal with the law and the law is very clear. But when you're forced to watch some psychopath turned loose on the streets because of a technicality, don't you ever ask yourself... Where's the justice? I'll admit, I started doing this for fun. But that was a long time ago when things were a lot simpler. Now we've got kids on the street who kill for pocket change. When some scumbag beats an eighty year old woman for her social security check... And the court can't touch him because he's a juvenile who's back on the street in sixty days, a lot of people want to know... Where's the justice? For people like that... The answer is people like me."
Bio:
After being shipwrecked on an uncharted island after being thrown overboard of his yacht, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen had to hunt to survive. Forced to rely on his survival instincts, Oliver picked up his bow and discovered his natural talent as a hunter. After taking down pirates on the island he was on and getting rescued he returned home to Star City as the vigilante Green Arrow.
I have compiled this Respect Thread for Post-Crisis Oliver Queen after reading through all of his appearances between 1985-2011. (Though this isn't complete yet.) I've included pretty much every major feat during this time-frame and as a result there may be some inconsistencies in ability or feats you consider outliers. I want to state now that there are some feats here that I personally see as above Oliver's consistent level, but I'm providing all of them so that people can decide Ollie's standard for themselves. If there's anything I've left out, or anything I can improve, please let me know. I always appreciate feedback. I've done the scans as links, so click on them for feats. It'd be much more work for me to embed with the three-scan rule, unfortunately.
Natas Training
Before I get started on Oliver's feats, I want to point out that his skill and physicals increased after training with multiple Grandmasters and eventually Natas, Deathstroke's teacher, for a year. This happened in Green Arrow V3 #60, and low showings from before that aren't particularly relevant.
