Gotham Season 4 FIRST LOOK at Batman
That's looks like a poor man's version of a poor mans yotuber homemade poor john diggle Batman combo cosplay. Isn't Bruce still rich he should have access to the same shit he has when he is an adult or at least similar
that awkward moment when everyone is unrealistically expecting an actual batman costume even though he's young AF. I know its not advertised often in comics, but its sill to think that every hero/villain automatically has jackpot ideas for costumes from day 1...
@prospero_locke: the thing is he shouldn't have a costume in the first place
It's fine. It fits the show. Yeah Bruce is rich, but at his age, he couldn't really get something like the costume we know without tipping off someone that's going to try and stop him. Since, in this universe, young Bruce is head-strong, but NOT stupid, this costume actually makes perfect sense. To look at it and judge it without the context of the story they're making and just go by the esthetics...well that's what web-sites like this do, but we shouldn't. Remember folks, they are telling a story. The complaint that he maybe shouldn't have a costume at all is one I could possibly agree with.
My reaction to this suit right now. im outta here. @g2_
@dcmarveljoseph: I stopped watching midway through season 1, but from what I gather, he damn well better become batman soon or every villain Bat's has ever had is going to be a regular on the show while he's stressing his calculus final! Jokes aside, if your issues are with him having a suit period because of the basis of the show from launch, then I can agree with that. Some of these people just seem appalled that he doesn't have some sweet costume in the very beginning. (which if im not mistaken is well before comic bats started night prowling)
@prospero_locke: yeah the suit itself makes sense, he has no reason to be theatrical at this point
This show could have been a decent crime drama.
But I knew they would do this. I called it since the very beginning. They would completely jump the shark with this baby Batman and villains stuff.
HARD. PASS.

Misleading thread title. It's a first look at Bruce trying out a disguise.
People who kept asking when Batman is going to show up despite it making no narrative sense, this on you.

He is still Batman, was Spider-Man, not Spider-Man anymore when he had his original costume?
I am sure this is but the first of many iterations of the pre-Batman costumes. Also, it makes more sense than the Daredevil year one costume which offered no protection other than identity concealment. Sure, it looks crappy but it's supposed to be utilitarian.
Quick reminder that this is Nolan's Batman in begins.
I haven't even watched Gotham lol, it just seems like a dumb circlejerk, I imagine it's meant to be a prototype. I'll never understand why cb "fans" are so quick to hate on everything.

That depends on when he "became" Spider-Man. Was that when he got bit or when Uncle Ben died or when he made the first official costume, etc. Just apply that logic to Batman. Same thing.
I like Gotham probably a lot more than it deserves, but that costume is...Well, hopefully the producers of the show see how much of a laughing stock it is on the internet and either redo it and reshoot scenes with it or quickly replace it.
I still don't really understand why TV shows have such cheap looking costumes. I know broadcast shows don't have the budget of GoT, but they should splurge a little on the superhero costumes.

He has to put on a costume to become Spider-Man.
Mean while I'm arguing about Game of Thrones janky timelines.
Good to have some perspective sometimes.
