Ghost Rider misconceptions are quite the norm on battle forums and in general comic discussions. So here is the break down on the abilities, powers, and limits of Ghost Riders shown thus far.
Alejandra is a cultist chosen by Adam to inherit the Spirit of Vengeance Zarathos, and cleanse the world of sin. Adam convinces Blaze to give up the curse, and places it on Alejandra to cot role. After witnessing her terrible powers on innocents that Adam forced her to do, Alejandra decides to take to the road to find her own way. It was not long she decides the best thing she can do is restore the lives she stolen from Mephisto. After accomplishing this suicide mission she ends up surviving the ordeal and passes the curse back to Blaze.
Strength
Alejandra does not have a lot of feats in strength, but what few she has are good showings.
Alejandra generates a large crater slamming Blackheart's demonic girlfriend.
Temporary takes done Skadi with a single punch.
Alejandra overpowers and overwhelms Robbie Reyes.
Speed
Alejandra is fast for a Ghost Rider in a fight.
Deflects automatic gunfire with her nunchucks.
Alejandra deflecting with her nunchucks against minigun fire.
Durability
Like the other Ghost Riders, Alejandra is very durable and can take a hit.

Dare Devil possess by a powerful demon of the Hand sucks the hell fire from Blaze.
Rogue was able to pull Zarathos directly from Blaze, but shortly fell to succumbing to his power and rage.
Hell Fire Fireball
Hell fire is the magical energy that makes up Ghost Riders power to attack and defend. Hell fire used by Alejndra is rarely used, though she shown to use it to devastating effect.

One of Alejandra favorite forms of attacks is the reaping the bodies of foes with the hell fire made Scythe.

Alejandra shown a unique form of attacking people by generating a swarm of locust made of hell fire to burn foes.

Lightning
Alejandra shown the unique ability to summon lightning bolts from the sky as a form of attack.

Chain Attacks
Just as Blaze before her, Alejandra is able to generate infinite number of chains made of near unbreakable Hell Fire. The hell fire changing into a solid form for physical attacks.
Alejandra her chain up to bust through a fortress wall.
Alejandra uses her chain to tie up, and stab through demons of hell.
Sin, amped by the hammer as the Worthy called Skadi, is unable to break free of the chains.
Matter Manipulation
Alejandra is able to make constructs, and trans mutate objects via hell fire. Changing the very laws of reality and molecules in such a way.
Alejandra generates dark clouds in the shape of a skull for fear effect.
Transforms the hell cycle into a super size machine.
Transforms a train into a hell fire skull train.
Generates her chains, locust, scythe, and nunchucks with hell fire.
Alejandra fuses Venom, Red Hulk, and herself into a super Ghost Rider to beat up Hell Lord Blackheart.
Teleportation
Ghost Riders are able to open dimensional portals and travel to areas if needed. Alejandra has shown great skill with teleportation than most Ghost Riders.
Alejandra teleports into a battle.
Alejandra teleport a truck through a portal to safety.

Hell Cycle
As a stunt cyclist of the highest quality, Blaze skill with his bike as well his ability to fight from the seat of his bike is well known.

Alejandra shows her hell cycle able to act on its own to reach her, both working in concert. The hell cycle is then used to beat the angelic foe with a hell fire tire to the face after the impressive stunt.
Alejandra hell cycle attacks Skadi, forcing Skadi to drop her hammer. Then it brushes off heavy gunfire with no damage, and then takes out the robots.

Hell cycle is able to go up vertical surfaces.
Sense Evil
All Spirits of Vengeance smell evil intentions and sins of others. They are able to hone in on such evil like hound dogs.
Zarathos senses the evil in the swamps.
Stated that Zarathos within Alejandra can smell sin, and track down this criminal who knew all the hiding spots in the mountains with ease.
Seeing through her Spirit of Vengeance, Alejandra sees the stench of sin.
Alejandra senses the evil about to take place in the desert and teleports directly under it.
Adam who was on the run in the middle of the desert by himself could not escape the pin point accuracy of Alejandra sense of sin to teleport right in front of him.
Burn Sin
Alejandra is different from most Ghost Riders in one major way. She has the ability to burn the sin out of your soul. Sounds like a good deal, but without sin, you have no urge to do anything at all. Being effectively a human vegetable.

Penance Stare
This is arguably Ghost Rider's most powerful attack. This attack allows Ghost Rider to look into your mind and soul, and bombard you with the pain and suffering you caused others. Many people are ignorant to how this works, thinking guilt and sin is a factor. It does not matter.
Here Ketch uses the Penance Stare on Blade, who at this time has the full power of the Darkhold. That little book that contains the C'thons power. The Eldar god that created Dark Magic in the universe. Key facts are stated how it works.
"Blades experience is no different from the countless others who have felt the pain they have inflicted."
"No different, but a hundredfold more severe."
"Every cell in his body explodes with the pain that he has inflicted upon his recent victims."
"He relives their deaths a thousand times in the span of a microsecond."
"The Experience threatens to shatter his mind."
This is how the power works. No matter your a good person, guilty of some sin, or what. All that needs to make this work is you have a soul, and if you caused pain to others whether for good or bad reasons.

Madcap is a perfect example. Madcap is immune to feeling pain. He is also so insane, that he drives other people insane with a stare. Even with his neck snapped, he is fine due to his Deadpool like healing factor. In short, he feels no guilt, pain, or sin. Ghost Rider's Penance Stare does Madcap in.
We also see the Penance Stare work just fine on Dr. Strange who has the great TP feats and sound mind of any character.

Penance Stare does more than torture you into submission. It also can read the mind and soul of any being affected by it. It can be used to read minds without causing pain.

Penance Stare Weakness
The Only time the Penance Stare has ever failed is when used on Souless people, people empowered by suffering, or people that are stated immune to it via divine intervention.
Fails on souless beings. No soul to punish for the Penance Stare.
Fails on Blackheart because he is a Hell Lord who is empowered by death and pain. When he feels all the pain and suffering he caused by a factor of ten, Blackheart just gets stronger.

Some now think the Stare failed on Thanos. Not true after close inspection and context. As stated, the Penance Stare used on Thanos is not causing pain. Just sorrow and despair. A trip of memories, and in Thanos case the Penance Stare used on him is stated, "These are not Thanos deepest secrete and regrets. no for him they are his fondest memories." This tells me that the pain the Penance Stare inflicts is missing, and that this Ghost Rider, servant of King Thanos is using the Penance Stare only to look at fond memories of Thanos as instructed. Which more falls in the mind reading power the Stare has.

The Deacon was Heavens hit man on earth. Empowered by the powerful angel Zadkiel himself. When Blaze attempts the Penance Stare on him, Deacon states he feel guilty about nothing. Truth is all of Ghost Riders powers are shown not to work on the Deacon. The Hell Fire, the Chains, and the Penance Stare thanks to that divine intervention.

Many people feel Punisher tank the Penance Stare. Most people never read the Thunderbolts comics. In the comics before the Rider fights Punisher, we see a Angels feather react to a dying Punisher. Curing him of all wounds, and as stated the feather of the angel went out of its way to help Punisher. Punisher states dont ask. Then later we see Penance Stare fail on Punisher. He has proven and shown divine intervention on his part. Thus it failed. That simple.

For some odd reason the Penance Stare has issues working on Venom. The Eddie Venom was still affected, and still harm by the attack, but Ketch was hit by his own Penance Stare at the same time.
This is shown again when Blaze uses the Penance Stare on the stronger Flash Venom. Venom this times shrugs it off completly as the Penance Stare turns around on Blaze and KOes Blaze.
Another limit of the Penance Stare is eye contact. This is false.
Alejandra unleashes a Penance Stare through her nunchucks making contact with the head.
Alejandra unleashes hell fire skulls that unleashed the Penance Stare both Deathwatch and Blackout without eye contact, and at the same time.
Zarathos level of power can unleash a Penance Stare that affected an whole city with his Penance Stare, and even Dr Strange magical shield was failing to hold up.
Here Slade uses it to affect multiple people in the stands via beams. As long the more powerful Spirit is in control, the eye contact matters little.
Alejandra and Adam
It is important to add the confusing and mess people have concerning Alejandra power, and Zarathos who powered it, as well the relationship of Adam's role in bringing it out. Fact is the comic and bio state clearly Alejandra was never tapping Zarathos power willingly, until Adam use his own power to bring out Zarathos power without Zarathos being in control.
Adam states he will bring out Alejandra's full potential. As in what she has in her already.
Adam states Blaze had the same power without Adam as Ghost Rider.
Stated to Blaze by God's Seeker the overload of power Adam gave to Alejandra in the first few issues was her power, and that same power Blaze had. Not Adam. He only brought out the full power.
Adam states himself he is simply helping Alejandra focus all her power. Her power. Nothing about himself adding on to it, or amping her to do it.
Stated again that Alejandra, as in the she herself locks away Zarathos in her. The full power of Ghost Rider is locked away by her.
Adam stated again the he is making Alejandra unleash her power. Zarathos power that she is locking up. Not amping it.
States here when Adam touches her, the power she has is build up and she cannot control it.
Alejandra is told by Adam, and believes Adam is amping her. Controlling her. Blaze confirms its a lie.
Seeker states Alejandra is using the power for the wrong reasons. That Zarathos does not like that. Which is why she needs Adam to grant her the power as before. Without Zarathos consent of using her power.
Stated plainly that Adam enhance her power levels. That he will give her huge power. Many feel this translate as proof that Adam own power is feeding her power. This is not what is meant at all as the previous scans plainly say. He simply means this in the way and context the previous statements posted above state. He is able to give her power, by unloking it. Nothing more or less.
As stated in the end, by Alejandra that Vengeance feeds her power after Adam unlocks it. Not that Adam gave her power from himself. Just unlock it.
Stated in the bio, "With the Spirit of Vengeance Power, Adam Amplified." This straight up says the amp for Alejandra was her own power. Argument over.
Tough call. Blaze is comical, and fun to read as GR, but he is also so damn stupid. Making the worst mistakes over and over again. But I enjoy his stories best. Danny stories were great, early on, but his comics got real whacky and confusing to read after issues 60. Ketch though was a more enjoyable character compared to Blaze IMO. Reyes so far seems the best of both worlds to be honest.
