Whtmat a waste of time that was. Got hired on and was nothing but a figurehead used to get fans back on board after BvS was critically panned. He can't be missed, since he did diddly
He's stepping down and focusing on writing and producing GLC for the DCEU.
This is a better role for him. I feel like he only got the title so WB could say, "See?! We have a Kevin Feige too!"

@quinlan58: nope, he was not involved in writing any of that
but Greg Berlanti had a pretty big influence
@mutant1230: A little bummed, because I've usually been a fan of Johns's work. He helped bring Barry Allen and Hal Jordan back into the spotlight, and those are two of my favorite DC characters. Plus, he's always shown a love and respect for every character he works with, and that can be hard to find in writers
I am glad to hear he'll be working on the GLC movie and a Shazam book, so I guess it's somewhat bittersweet.
I want to be excited about Johns writing a Green Lantern movie and a Shazam comic but I have grown sceptical of him lately. The last GL movie borrowed from Johns and still didn’t turn out so well (though other factors were far more prevalent in making GL suck) as for Shazam I fear Johns will continue down the New 52 direction he set up rather than opening up to a more classical interpretation of the character that Captain Marvel fans loved in Thunderworld and Convergence. Making Billy rougher and more of a jerk to simulate character growth missed the point of the Captain Marvel character. I hope Johns proves me wrong though, back in the day he was one of the best DC had.
