That Batman trilogy is dated and looks bad now.
Keaton's Batman walks weirdly, kills people while smiling a creepy smile and his suit doesn't look good especially the mouth area.
I tried rewatching them recently and couldn't.
This is an easy win for Iron Man.
I actually do think Batman 1 and Batman Returns are good movies. A bit dated visually yes, but I think they're alright. The Iron Man Trilogy is better overall though.
Two thirds of the IM trilogy are disappointing to say the least, but IM1 is still one of the finest modern CBMs - it is almost unfair when people compare the classics from the 80s/90s to MCU movies, in my opinion. The only one that stacks up is 'Returns', which I can still watch and enjoy today.
@kairan1979: Oh, yes they did. Two-Face.
And I actually found the Mandarin twist amusing. Not to mention that the MCU has an actual Mandarin, and Trevor was just a fake:
And Iron Man 3 is better put together overall, as opposed to the campy and often painfully unfunny and shlocky Batman Forever.
@payneintheass: I'd put Iron Man 1 ahead of Batman 1 by more than a little, and Iron Man 3 is far better than Batman Forever.
I´d watch Batman and Batman Returns over Iron Man
So that decides it for me.
Batman has two films I enjoy
Iron Man has only the first.
Plus the nostalgia lol
Definitely the Batman movies.
both Batman and Batman Returns were/are classic movies, imo they are the two best CBMs ever made. Batman Forever wasn't that good but it had some things I liked about it, such as Val Kilmer as Batman. I think he was excellent in that role, I would argue he's the best ever live action Batman. he had the Conroy-esque voice, a great presence on screen and he played both Bruce Wayne and Batman equally well.
with the Iron Man movies I think the first one was the only good one, and even that had quite a few aspects that I didn't like.
Batman. Iron Man cant carry those bombs such as IM2 and IM3
I don't think they're any worse bombs than Batman Forever was. I actually think IM2 is underrated honestly. Not great, but not awful either, and definitely no worse than Batman Forever.
"...significantly better movie then any of the three Batman movies."
We might have to agree to disagree on that one. I prefer both Batman and Batman Returns over Iron Man.
Based on? I mean, I like Batman and Batman: Returns, but I would never put them ahead of Iron Man 1. I'm curious to know your reasoning.
Batman. 1 doesn’t hold up but it’s watchable, 2 is great with the best Catwoman to date, 3 is wack and garish, but the over-the-top design and performances is marginally acceptable. By 4 that style choice had outstayed its welcome.
Iron Man 1 is fantastic. Better than Batman Returns in fact, but the next are worse are and worser than B1 and B3. Sam Rockwell can’t even save IM2.
Batman Forever ensures that this is an easy win for the Iron Man trilogy.
I only have one word for you - Mandarin. Not even Batman and Robin mauled the original comic book character so badly.
The one with the white Mandarin loses. You had Ben f@cking Kinsley for God sake.
