First Image of Grant Gustin as The Flash Released

Grant Gustin made his debut on Arrow as Barry Allen and the show even revealed how he gets his powers. We've yet to see his swift abilities in action, but that's because it's being saved for his very own pilot episode. However, today we're lucky enough to get our first teaser image of Grant Gustin in the Flash costume!

Production of The Flash pilot will start next week and Barry Allen's costume was designed by three-time Oscar winner Colleen Atwood. The pilot will be directed by David Nutter and the script is by Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg.

Looks great so far! They are definitely going for a grounded look to the costume, which explains the dark red as well. I can't wait to see it in action.

Hm, I remain skeptic. The Flash's costume looks as it does and it's hard to make it look realistic in TV or film, I get that. But I don't really like the "armor" look, the suit is too think. Also, not sure about the actor. I would have loved someone who looked a little older.

Agreed. Based of this single picture, I think it looks to be one of the most accurate and most appealing representations of a hero's suit.

Looks weird. Should be a bit brighter. But overall a pretty good design.

IT looks good obviously we're going to have to wait and see what it looks like in motion, and how VFX are used but overall I'm confident in the production. David Nutter is an excellent pilot whisper.

@nox_arc: For sure. Only slight issue (no it's not the chin, I like the chin) is that it looks like he's wearing a dark red domino mask instead of having it all one piece. Still looks great though.
