Batwoman is coming to the Arrowverse!

The character will be played by "The Meg" and "John Wick 2" actress Ruby Rose, and appear in the crossover titled "Elseworlds". What do you think of this image?

Agreed. Also, she looks sorta like Christian Bale's Batman with different colors and a different cape.

Looks about right. Can’t get that Christian Bale cowl comparison out of my head now that you mention it, though.

@the_stegman: I think it's most definitely the suit and maybe some editing tricks, because Ruby isn't NEARLY this stacked on Orange, is the new Black or John Wick 2

I kinda wish the cape were a little bigger but other than that very nice.

Even recently she gave an interview about the role and she looked very thin.

Decent costume for a CW show but the photo is terrible.

It looks surprisingly faithful to the comics and for the most part, it actually looks pretty decent. Something though feels off. I don't know what exactly. Maybe the textures?

Costume looks solid. The hair looks like a wig which is what Kate wears but maybe it could look better. The Bat symbol and belt are well integrated and the cape is decent. Maybe it'll look different on screen but on paper this is alright.

Ya know I always wonder on that, has that whole white eyes thing ever been explained with masks? I don't think I've ever seen an explanation. I mean in-universe, I figure out of universe it's because it's easier so one doesn't have to try and do the eyes with the mask.

I honestly don't know. I know she looks normal out of costume but in costume she's always had that unique ghostly appearance

Kinda looks like crap to me.

The suit seems more like a Halloween Costume then an actual Super Hero Costume compared to the others.

Maybe if it was more armor looking instead of spandex looking.

And whoever did her hair should make her wear it all the way back. (Because it just looks like she is missing an ear at first glance lmao)

Maybe it is that, yeah. As others said, it does look like a blanket. Plus I will agree with another user that it would be a bit better if it looked a bit more like an armour.

Overall I like it. My only problems are the cowl and the wig. The cowl looks a little too big and round around the top where it meets the ears...makes her head look a little too big to me. The wig looks exactly like what it is, a wig...they could easily have done a better job on it.

I don't understand the problem people are having with the cape. If it were any longer it would get in the way, and I kind of see the "kids blanket" comparisons but I like the gauzy look personally. I suppose it's a matter of taste.

I think her looking "thick" (not that I would care if she is) is an optical illusion. This woman is anything but thick. If anything she could probably stand to eat an extra sandwich or two.

EDIT: Looking at it closer, there is obviously some sort of padding at the shoulders, and possibly in the upper arms and upper legs (not sure about the legs but for SURE in the shoulders). Maybe it's supposed to be some sort of armor? Not sure.
