Ok, so I've been thinking about this for a few days and I think I have a solid pitch for Fantastic Four in the MCU.

The movie's title will be Fantastic Four: The First Family (following Spiderman: Homecoming's style of reboot names) The film will likely be as long as Civil War if not longer and will happen (as in release date) in the place of Inhumans.

So the movie opens with a flashback to the Sixties. Reed Richards is working in the Baxter Building on a rocket that could potentially explore outside of our own solar system. Essentially the backstory is all the same, except instead of the government, it is S.H.I.E.L.D. who is concerned with the outcome of this experiment (similar to how they were concerned with Pym particles and such). They decide to shut down the whole operation, however Reed, with support from his girlfriend Sue Storm ( who was also heavily working on the project), and his best friend Ben Grimm, who has offered to pilot the vehicle, (and with Jonny tagging along to "protect" sue) is convinced to launch it in secret.

They launch it, same as the comics, however S.H.I.E.L.D. finds out and warns them that the radiation may be too much for them. Yadda yadda, they get radiated, crash down in the woods, you know the story. However, when they do crash land, S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives find them and awfully mutated. They are examined by shield and eventually they determine that they are not contagious. However, S.H.I.E.L.D. decides that, to protect the public, they are not allowed to live among normal people. Reed pleads with them to let him and the rest lock themselves up in the Baxter building. S.H.I.E.LD. agrees and escorts them.

When they get there, they realize that none of the tech currently available to them will cure them, so they decide to resurrect one of Reed's personal projects: a time portal. They jokingly name themselves the Future Foundation. Their portal is a success, and they warp to the future. When they make it there, they find themselves in a worn down, unkept Baxter building which clearly looks searched. The portal is still standing there, powered down and everything.

From there I figure they go and find out about the Inhumans that S.H.I.E.L.D. has been looking into, thus introducing Black Bolt as the main antagonist.

So that's my pitch. After credits scenes could include something about Doctor Doom and mabe a scene of Black Bolt returning to Attilan.

Lemme know what you think!

It sounds good, it would also add some more powerhouses to the MCU.

Make it modern, it would also be better if it was before the IW Movies, which wont happen.

If it was though, Reed and Tony could make the space travel easily and meet up with the GOTG.

Then you would have Reed, Stark, Banner, and Rocket to go with the MCU power houses Thor, Hulk, Strange, and Torch.

I was all into it until the point where they traveled through time. I can't explain why but I'm really not into that idea. It's just goofy and pointless. Why not just have the FF exist in the modern time instead of the sixties?

I'm not fond of it to be honest. I'd rather the FF simply be heroes in the present day and that's that, it doesn't need a convoluted back-story, they live in the Baxter Building, they have their powers, they've fought the Mole Man and Doom once or twice and away we go.

Like Spider-man with Civil War, I might have them pop up in somebody else's film first, to wash the bad taste out. Maybe Sue appears in Ant-Man and the Wasp, or Ben in Captain Marvel etc. Johnny would be cool to see in Spider-man: Homecoming, but unless the negotiations are already underway, there likely won't be time.

I think a slightly disconnected or slightly evil version of Reed can be interesting

Rather have a movie with Doom as the main character.

@moufino: I had an idea somewhat along those lines: In the 60's, Reed, Sue, Ben, and Johnny fly Reed's experimental rocket into space, where it is bombarded by cosmic rays, which give them superpowers. However, they also put them in a state of suspended animation. In the present day, SHIELD (What's left of it) detects an unknown object (the rocket) in Earth's atmosphere. They retrieve the rocket and find the crew, who they manage to reawaken, and the Fantastic Four are born!

I like your idea a lot, especially the idea of Black Bolt being the main antagonist, there`s potential there.

For me, I would like to see Marvel Studios start the whole thing off with a Dr. Doom movie and have it deal with concepts of magic, science and what makes the two the same and different it would be a darker movie but it would be detailed in the perspective of Victor Von Doom in which we (the audience) would see things through his perspective and how the Fantastic Four could become a threat to Latveria and the rest of the world. The story could then setup a Future Foundation movie, in which Dr. Doom travels back through time to prevent the Fantastic Four from forming and the explanation could be that they are the ones responsible for the arrival of Galactus, but once Victor does this, the Future Foundation is formed instead of the Fantastic Four as the death of Sue Storm drives Reed over the edge in which he turns evil and forms the team wanting to prevent bad things from happening in the future and past even if it means to sacrifice lives. The moral of the story would be to let time be, when it comes to being careful for what you wish for, never wish to have a time machine or the ability to travel through time pretty much.

Another approach could be to have Mephisto serve as the antagonist to the Dr. Doom movie and maybe the style could be reminiscent of Dante`s Inferno in which Doom travels through circles of Hades with each circle representing an actual aspect of Doom`s mind and how his soul is connected to both sorcery and science, so because of sorcery is his soul shown through visions of Hades but because of science, his body is present in the mortal world just experiencing a mental breakdown that cannot be explained. Also Mephisto could be the one to deceive Doom into going against the Fantastic Four, he could give him a false vision of a Reed Richards from an alternative timeline (a nod to Ultimate Reed Richards from the comics and the overall Ultimate universe) bringing about the destruction of the world due to discovering the Negative Zone and Galactus but this in turn would only lead to Sue dying instead and having Reed go over the edge as he then forms the Future Foundation to prevent future calamities from happening, like I said previously, even if it means great sacrifice and great loss, which would include not only the future but the past and present as well.

@asgardianbrony: Eh, I'm not much of a writer. Just a pitch that an actual writer could turn into a script.

@nickzambuto: Dunno, just kinda wanted them to be a goofy sixties family. Also FF has been known to be a bit out there.

@rogueshadow: This is a good point. My friend had an idea of having them in Inhumans or Agents of Shield as the people taking the Inhumans to the moon. That would make it way simpler.

@jgames: Same, however I feel like suddenly having Doom show up would be kinda out of left field. Then again, Spiderman did the same and it worked.

@moufino: An origin of Doom and have him be in a other dimmension focusing on him. Biggest problem with the mcu are no real good villain, so why not make a movie setting up a good villain. Also after two below average f4 and a boring F4 movie, most people won't care.

I really don't want the FF in the mcu. If they get back the rights it should just be to use Doom and possibly Surfer/Galactus plus Kang.

My pitch:

(This would take place sometime after Infinity War. In my version of Infinity War, Bucky is now Captain America and Tony is dead. Thor has also returned to Asgard permanantly.)

The movie would open with Reed Richards in his lab in his garage at home. His best friends, Victor Von Doom and Ben Grimm are helping him build a machine. His rich parents think that he is wacko. They highly disapprove of Ben and Victor, especially victor because they dislike his parents. His parents are even richer and are complete snobs. Anyway, time goes on and we see a montage of them building the machine. Then we see Reed get his girlfriend, Sue Storm, who helps them build the machine, while her brother Johnny comes along to "protect her". Then, after graduating college Reed rents out the Baxter Building. He gets Ben, Victor, Johnny, and Sue to come work with him. Soon after, eh and Sue get married. Soon after that, they finish the machine just as tensions are beginning with Victor and Johnny. Reed starts the machine and it sucks them in to a planet where they can breathe in space. Cosmic rays start to hit them and only four of them make it back through the portal. As they are leaving, Reed sees another portal opening as Victor is sucked into it. They go back through the portal and land in a forest where S.H.I.E.L.D is waiting for them. Ben landed a little farther from the group. Imagine Nick Fury, Maria Hill, and a S.WA.T Team standing up to the Fantastic Four. That's what happens. Johnny suddenly sets fire to the forest as the S.W.A.T Team opens fire. Sue is able to protect the three from bullets using a force field. As Nick Fury holds a gun to Reed's head, he is suddenly able to fly his hand back farther than humanly possible and knock out Fury. Soon, the S.W.A.T Team has them surrounded as Ben suddenly comes raging in as a rock-type monster. He destroys a tank and then the S.W.A.T Team is finally able to stop them with tasers.

They all wake up in S.H.I.E.L.D custody, where Fury has discovered that the four are highly radiated, but not contagious. they let them go into the public. Johnny abandons Reed and Sue, Ben goes into hiding somewhere and Reed and Sue begin to hire workers for the Baxter Building. Four months pass and we see where the four are now. Reed is trying to find what happened to Victor Von Doom, while also keeping tabs on the others. Ben is hiding in a "place known for freaks". It is a camp under an abandoned freeway that people with powers go to hide. Johnny is now a gangbanger and takes out people for mob bosses. Sue is secretly working as a nighttime vigilante. Reed doesn't know this. One day, he invents technology for him and Sue. It allows them to wear it while using their powers. Reed then tracks down Johnny and offers him the suit. Imagine this:

Johnny- "Why is there a four on the chest?"

Reed- "I thought it would be cool, you know if we became a team."

Johnny- "No."

Johnny ends up taking the suit. Reed goes to Ben and offers him thee suit. The two fight each other but then Sue steps in and has them stop. Reed is angered that she is being a vigilante. Life goes on after that and Johnny is hired to take out Reed for a mob boss in a silver mask (This is Dr. Doom). Johnny goes to the Baxter Building and tries to kill Reed. He fails and instead the mob boss breaks in and he is wearing a silver radiation suit and green cape and hood. Ben has wandered back into town simultaneously. Dr. Doom sets off an explosion, which Ben notices. He gets inside and finds his suit. He puts it on, but doesn't wear the shirt. He helps fight Dr. Doom who now has the power of energy blasts. they all fight him, as S.H.I.E.L.D surrounds the building. They defeat Dr. Doom and unmask him, revealing it is Victor. Reed is angry and begins to punch him relentlessly. Sue gets him to stop. Dr. Doom is taken into custody by S.H.I.E.L.D.

Soon after this, the four go public as a superhero team working with S.H.I.E.L.D, calling themselves the Fantastic Four, wearing Reed's white suits.
