I think the amount of negativity towards this movie from most comic book websites is a little rediculous. No one has even seen it yet. It's almost just like people on the sites are just jumping on a bandwagon. Now honestly I haven't seen much bashing on this site which is good. I've heard plenty of people that arnt hardcore comic fans very interested in seeing the movie.
Fantastic 4 bashing out of control
@jayc1324: Hehe. Even if it's great people will still find something to complain about.
i prefer them giving the rights back to marvel
This. And everything else.
The negativity is generated by Disney Fanbois who wants the FF franchise back. Marvel is also trying to torpedo the Fantastic Four movie so they can get it back. They are PRAYING that the movie suck. The Marvel fanbois also hate X-Men Days of the Future Past, however that one one of the best X-Men I ever watched. That Fantastic Four and the change to Johnny Storm being black works for me. It's not only still make them family but it add that step brother-sister dynamic.
I look forward to FF and will see it in theaters.
What if people don't like it? I think it ridiculous the amount of apologists who support mediocre stuff
This.
From a studio that has brought you a mediocre and sh*t movie so far based on the series
The timing to make the movie was picked to keep the rights, not because they had a good idea.
It's had behind the scenes trouble which was inevitable when you have the above point
Race baiting casting choices to get that controversy publicity
No established actors and the director has one film under his belt
It has all the hallmarks of a big steamy pile, we could be wrong but in the same way you could be wrong about the naked man running towards you with a knife. Perhaps he fell out of the kitchen window and is not a crazy stabber.

I for one love the awkward diversity pushes comics and CBMs are making.

Welcome to the internet. I hope the movie is great so they can all shutup.

I hope the movie is good because I like the FF a lot and will see it, whether it gets good reviews or not. However, much as I like the FF, i was so let-down by the first movie that I didn't even bother with "Rise of the Silver Surfer" and I'm glad I didn't. I have to be willing to give this new franchise a chance. You have no idea how much I want this movie to be good. My hopes are not high though.

i hate it. i rather see as accurate depictions as possible. if they wanna push a black actor as a superhero, then just choose from the many awesome characters available. black panther and icon being 2 of my favorite, with cyborg rising very, very quickly
@imperfect_cell: @truth_teller: What pushes have CBM's made ?
Trailer looks good, but movies with good trailers tend to suck.
Good. With this logic, Fantastic Four should not suck.
Pilasy:La Voix d'un homme
why is johnny storm black?
Because Peoples prefer to change others than to do something constructive.

@cfrehse: Also, awesome avatar.

Johnny Storm being black, but that's the only one I can think of.
Well I'm going to still watch the movie when it comes out. I like the tone and Micheal B. Jordan is an amazing actor . Doom looks interesting too. The only thing I have disliked so far is the Thing's voice, besides that I'm more hyped to watch this than Ant-Man tbh.
Welcome to the internet. I hope the movie is great so they can all shutup.
I would have been fine with it until I saw what they did to Doom. I'll still see it since I might be wrong about Doom being trash, but man does he look horrible.

I'm sure it'll be amazing. Josh Trank is just amazing at direction and let's not forget that they have two amazing actors on board (Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan).
I've actually done quite an amazing job at avoiding the marketing for this movie. I haven't seen the latest and final trailer for the movie, haven't seen any of the clips, and only saw the 2nd trailer twice ever. I hardly know anything about the movie. Don't even know how The Thing sounds. I forgot (if they even showed / sounded that in the 2nd trailer).
For a long time FF didn't had any shinnig moments in comics plus there were two mediocre movies so people have less expectation which is probably good because if the movie is better than last two they will have great future.and lets be honest FF are not exactly highly popular like Spiderman so lets wait and see...may be it will change people's perception
I hope Trank hit a grandslam with this FF movie. What we don't need are more mediocre, samey MCU films.
The first trailer looked great. It seemed like Trank had control over it and gave us a feel for the more sci-fi take on FF the movie is hopefully taking. The subsequent trailers seems like the marketing department took total control over it. They took a lot of action from the movie and added a five year old Kanye West song no one wants to hear in the year 2015.
Tranks is fully aware that Thing wears pants, Johnny storm is white, and Reed is much older in the comics. He's not doing comic book FF.
Also, Teller and Jordan are great actors with a lot of range.
What I find troubling is that with a week to go before release there has been no early reviews? If the studio really believed they had a hit wouldn't they rush everyone with a media news column into a theatre??
@dextersinister: I completely agree. But the thing is, I was never interested enough to even hate the movie. I saw the first news and said that's bulls*** and that was it about the movie for me. I'm just gonna see the movie out of principle and my love for Fantastic 4 no that I think it'll be good or even bad.
Good for them
I still haven't forgotten the first two garbage FF movies that fox made, so excuse me for being negative about this movie
I loved Chronicle and Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan have impressed me in previous films so I'm optimistic.
Also I though Doom looked kinda cool.
Movie looks bad. If it's good, good for them. Still won't pay to go see it.
If it's good, then you're missing out on a good movie by not watching it. If you don't like watching good movies: then that's good.

People seem to forget how impressive Miles Teller was in Whiplash and how fitting Michael B. Jordan is for the character. Barring the ethnicity, I can't think of a better choice. I'm still a bit mixed about Doom. We'll see in August the 6th.
