Right now? Superman handily that might change after the release of almost 30 minutes of cut footage from the Captain marvel movie
This would be a great equal speed fight. But since it isn’t she has no answer for Supes combat speed.
@thearchon: Sure, pal.
-The missile catch and throw feat blows away anything Clark has done. By far.
-She doesn't even to have to engage in hand to hand combat. She can just blitz him at speeds he can never match.
@worldofthunder: You sure mate? Watched endgame today and thought that after seeing her take a massive power stone punch, her durability would give her an edge
@sanohibiki: She's pretty fast mate. Looks like light speed but its hard to quantify
@chazzer: She has 0 combat speed feats and she doesn’t have feats that come even close to Superman’s strenght. Better luck next time.
Multiple Kree missiles at the same time. Dodged a laser, possibly at light speed
Superman's greatest strength feat is 7000 ton cruise ships. Carols greatest strength feat is catching a massive missile, and pushing it back against gravity
@karanrasquinha: Can you quantify how powerful it was? Iron Man's also tanked a power gem punch and it did less damage to his suit than Thanos' own punches.
Going by MCU's own in-universe logic, when a punch or attack is really powerful, a very clear shockwave is made. Hulk and Hulkbuster punching each other, Thor punching Hulk, Thor striking Malekith with Mjolnir, etc. Clear powerful attacks in the MCU have clear environmental damage, and I'd expect more from the likes of the power stone.
Due to not being able to quantify how powerful that punch was other than 'powerful', I don't consider her durability to be an issue, specially not for the likes of Clark who in his earlier days as the Man of Steel casually hammer punched kryptonian concrete to bits with a mere extension of his arm. The very same material was durable enough to withstand orbital re-entry and endure being in a place with gravity strong enough to flatten cars and skyscrapers.
Sine you brought it up, what quanitfiable durability feats can you bring up for Carol that suggests she can go toe-to-toe against Clark and tank his attacks?

A clear massive shockwave was produced when Thanos smashed Carol with the powerstone
Isn't this all the durability she needs?
@karanrasquinha: Okay, can you quantify how much power was used there? Going off of feats, in-universe logic and environmental damage, Clark has attacked much harder than that specific hit.
I don't take Captain Marvel seriously as a character or Brie Larson as a person so she wins against everyone, including: doomsday, the Snap and Dormammu.
Which character ruined the movie? A) Captain Marvel in Endgame or B)/Superman in Justice League. The fact that you have to attack Oscar and multiple award winning actress shows how Salty you have become.
@karanrasquinha: change your profile pic.
I need another CM movie to fully elaborate her powers. In CM she could be reasonably explained as being a top tier Iron Man suit.
But as soon as she no-sold that headbutt, I went, "Holy F. What are they trying to say here?!" Thanos beat Thor and Hulk within an inch of their lives at the beginning of Infinity War. He took on the Avengers Trinity with 2 magic hammers to boot. He broke Vibranium. She also got punched in the face with a power stone, quite possibly Thanos's best feat, even beating out throwing a moon at Stark.
They could very well be attempting to create their own Superman.

@heatforce: You used to be the most reasonable Captain Marvel hater here.Look at what you have become. You know the most criticism Captain Marvel got? She is Marvel's Superman which was proven Wrong in Endgame and this thread proves it. Being Superman like is a bad thing nowadays? So continue being salty
@tobymaguire: this isn't the battle forum. I'm not obligated to take this seriously ?♂️

yes exactly. Pushing those missiles and going light speed is iron man level

thank god you at least understand that thanos is formidable
They could very well be attempting to create their own Superman.
@darkthunder: I believe iron man could build a suit capable of the mission feat. Why I said top tier iron man suit.
And I don’t believe travel speed is indicative of combat abilities
@worldofthunder: Ill try my best
Lets compare something. The Thanos punch and a superman punch
Look at the difference between both. Its kinda clear which punch is more powerful, Clark's breaks the sound barrier and knocks Diana back, but Thanos' not only breaks the sound barrier, it also sends Carol flying miles away like a rocket at very high speed.
This is far stronger than Clark's considering Carol no sold a headbutt from Thanos and proceeded to bend his fingers causing the stones to overlap
Also I'd like to point out that the colour of the energy signature of the stone during the feat closely resembles this planet busting feat by the same stone
@karanrasquinha: um. ...why don't you compare that with superman punching nam-ek or zod or step. What you showed was just a jab

Interesting.

Supes' "combat speed" is pretty much a wet petard. His only attempt at it was a failure.
@havenless: nope actually. The missile feat is far above any top tier iron man suit till date. Travel is important even in combat. You can blitz people at high speeds
@darkthunder: @chazzer: if travel speed can just blow ppl away why did she need backup running the gauntlet through a bunch of fodder? Why did Thanos’s boomerang sword reach the van before she did? Why couldn’t she just blitz thanos to death? Why couldn’t she just blitz the thanos army to death the second she got there? Oh right cause travel speed =/= combat speed. Case closed.
@pkety: Blah blah blah.
-Why didn't Supes blitz the Black Zero while he was in space? He could have saved a lot of people before so much destruction and death.
-Why didn't he borrow WW's sword to take Doomsday's head off?
Why didn't he KO Steppenwolf on the first encounter?
See how that works?
Again, she blitzes him at speeds he can't match. She's stronger, she's faster, she has more destructive capability.
Yes, case closed indeed.
Superman's stronger, much faster (she's never tagging him in cqc), hits far harder and is more durable. In short, he stomps.
