End of MCU Guardians 3 to open way lower than Guardians 2 with some experts predicting below 100 million opening

Time to get Kevin Feige sacked. This is getting out of hand now, the MCUs decline is hilarious. And the fact that Guardians 3 is probably their safest film from this phase and will be received well because its emotional and one of the loved guardians will die.

That superhero fatigue is really kicking in then

Guardians 2 opened domestically at 146.5. While Guardians 3 is projected to open anywhere from 120-155 (representing the worst and best case scenario).

If it's the end of the MCU then you might as well say CBMs are done in general.

MCU burned the audience pretty hard with Mediocre to bad movies and tv shows last year and this year. Add in the Marvels trailer promising more Love and Thunder and you got this

For average CBMs yes, but there are still good popular adaptations like The Boys, The Sandman and Invincible. it's more about quality.

Problem is Disney's childish humor and lack of maturity.

Some other experts are projecting a Morbillion dollars tho.. so there’s that.

As is deserved. The Guardians movies IMO have always been vastly overrated.

It's not superhero fatigue. It's Disney fatigue. People are tired of rushed half assed shows and movies which main objective is to push the next product. Tired of all the garbage american woke politics forced in. Tired of banking on nostalgia. And tired of the same non serious comedy formula stich.

The Sandman was pretty bad too. There was like two good episodes (5th and 6th iirc), 1-4 were meh and the whole Rose arc (ep. 7-10) was some of the worst television I ever watched that made season 8 of GoT look like a masterpiece of entertainment in comparison.

Top 4 of current best superhero content is The Boys, Invincible, Spiderman and Matt Reeve's Batman Universe.

I think Sandman was the best LA comicbook show ever. Blows Daredevil out of the water.

As soon as Disney+ came into play, MCU oversaturated the market. Superhero fatigue has kicked in.

I can only see the likes of Batman, Spider-Man, X-Men etc making big profit from now on.

1) I think Marvel is doing fine, I’ve loved a lot of recent content…I’m not feeling the sky Is falling I guess.

2) Even if they don’t do as well as they did in the past, I think the infrastructure is set up to make money, from toys to soundtrack.

3) Arrowverse is still going, so I don’t think these verses will die fast…if they must die, it will be slow.

4) Morbillion dollars is just kinda shorthand for a complex thought, I liked Morbious, but there was a weird cult effort to get it replayed in theaters, it was almost loved as a campy movie even if they weren’t going for camp.

Why can’t they go back to making movies like no way home

Disney's strategy of family friendly films is biting them in the ass.

@tobeymaguire84: The Marvels will be when the MCU is taken off life support. It took like a decade to bring the MCU to its peak in Endgame, it only took less than 3 years to bring it all down.

More like one year. All the problems started with Dr Strange when audience found hard way that they needed to watch Wandavision to understand what was happening. Then, Thor, Wakanda forever and Antman failed to live upto expectations.

And Guardians trailer have been very somber and melancholic meanwhile The Marvels trailer look like a proper Guardians trailer

MCU is getting desperate. They have gotten even Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel in Marketing and releasing reviews on April 28, a week before release.

Flash could win the year for CBM films. If the Cinemacon screening goes well its entirely possible.
