Does No Way Home prove that Spider-Man is at or even above Hulk level?

Spider-Man is hardly moved (centimeters at a time at best) from the actual force of the astral punch, whereas Hulk is knocked meters back nigh-instantly.

Considerations:

• Spider-Man does falls to the ground, but this is only when he re-enters his body and the scene speeds back up to normal time.
• Hulk was attempting to wrest the Time Stone out of Ancient One's control, but Spider-Man was not charging Strange, nor did he have any footing like Hulk did
• AO and Strange are different characters. But she taught him this technique, and in this very scene she said that he was > her or anyone in her cult.
• AO's credibility is vetted by her having the Time Stone and using it to look into the future.

@rajjarsalt: Yeah, I take "meant to be" as "he eventually will become", so it's unclear when he will get to that level.

Ahhh based.. add in the overpowering Cull in 2 movies.. add in tanking portal that cut cull.. add in the Thanos feats.. and the WOG saying Spidey is almost as strong as Hulk.

Catches Culls jumping slam in IW -

Overpowers Cull in Endgame.-

redirected a half a taxi thrown by Cull into him.

Tanked portal that cut Cull like butter.. etc etc etc.

Pulls down Thanos arm…WOG said Spidey prevented Thanos from closing his fist.

Staggers Thanos with a kick- Staggers Thanos 3 more times

Brags about fighting Thanos.

Russos consider Spidey as almost as strong as the Hulk...andHolland thinks Hulk and Spidey should fight.

Comparing apples to oranges in this scene.

Spidey falls much slower because Strange slowed down time on top of soul punching him.

@death4bunnies: When Spidey was pushed they were in statue mode, while Hulk wasn't, so you can't draw a comparison based on the two scenes. If anything it's a speed feat for Spidey, since astral forms have seen lightning in slow mo before, which just makes lightning timing Spidey even more consistent (bc 40+ feats aren't enough for some people).

Odd how people don’t refer to Strange moving in statue time in battles.

Yeah.. i think it’s an effect of spider sense.. he can still control his body even when soul is out (or Spidey sense controls his body like ultra instinct Spider-Man or something)… I think early spiderman fights his spider sense.. I think I have a thing saying he doesn’t trust it .. I feel like this is full spider sense control over his body.. Spider sense doesn’t attack strange just moves Spidey out the way.

I think I can compare the scenes tho as I think Strange and Ancient One did the same move.. Hulk just doesn’t have soul push resistance… as in his body no move when soul not in it.

That said im not sure I’d call it strength, I do think Spidey is almost as strong as Hulk in MCU.. but this imo is Magic resistance, specifically resisting soul push via his body can still react when soul not in it, and he can return by kinda swimming back.

@death4bunnies: I don't think Spidey resisted the force better than Hulk, it just looked that way because they were moving so fast that gravity was statued, which wasn't the case for Hulk.

Why do you think Spidey is as strong as Hulk? Do you think he can dent vibranium? Or punch through leviathan armor? Or catch a full overhead strike from Thor? Or lift the Avengers Compound? Or throw a boulder so hard it catches on fire? Or make a huge shockwave with his punches?

He had troubles with Norman, and Raimi Peter was stronger than him.

Unfortunately not yet but he has the potential.

Some of you need to realize writers don't look too hard into stuff like this.
