She's an excellent actress, and could be doing much better work. And I don't say that because I think good actors should avoid the MCU. I think that in a case like this where the actor/actress is not necessarily an on-point fit, we can afford to let them go. She's a good actress, but it's not like she's the definitive Captain Marvel. Benedict Cumberbatch could be doing better work than Dr. Strange, but he's such a great fit for the role that I'd be sad to see him replaced. This applies for a number of other MCU actors, including Tom Hiddleston and Scarlet Johansson. It doesn't apply for Larson, though.

They are some exceptions like Amy Adams and Cate Blachett who regularly get quality work or actress like Jennifer Lawrence who can provide certain benefits to directors and producers for casting her.

Brie's Career is gonna be B movies or tv shows. Look at Charlize Thereon, Halle Berry, Rosemund Pike, Hillary Swank, etc.

If you look at the Best Actress winners and nominees over the last 10 years, you'll see that 10-15 of them have been in their 20s or 30s.

Not too knowledgeable on this, but stick to the classical version of Captain Marvel. Whatever race or sexual orientation she was. Unnecessary change is unnecessary change.

Though, if the current MCU CM isn't the classical one, changing it would disrupt continuity, so that's a mess.
