The MCU is always expanding and recently they've been shining the spotlight on some lesser known superheroes. Personally, Nova (SAM ALEXANDER) is my favourite character and I really think he'd fit perfectly into the current line-up. However, what do you think? And do you think his character would gel well with the newly added Spider-Man?
Do you think Marvel should include Nova in the MCU?
I wouldn't mind Richard Rider but Sam's cool too and his story's tailor made for the Disney/MCU. You could even go the animated route like Big Hero 6.
@xwraith: I might be being biased here, but I think including Sam would be more beneficial to the MCU not just because he's freaking awesome, but it would also give way for the next generation of Avengers.
@wavemotioncannon: I never thought about the animated route - that could actually work! But if they were to include him in the live-action films, do you think his character would gel nicely (from a technical point of view) with Spider-Man?
Yeah nova should be a must
Sam however should not even be considered that's like having miles as Spider-Man
@comicsrulebutdbzdoes2: I like Miles!! Are you not getting even a wee bit tired of Peter Parker?i feel like we know everything there is to know about Peter at this point to be honest. If they're going to insist on using him then I think it would be more interesting to see him as a young adult.
well richard rider as a normal human already exists in this universe so i really hope so. i hope in either the nexts guardians or the beginning of IF thanos destoys/seiges xandar to take the power gem and the nova corps seeks recruits, one in particular being richard rider. I think that would be so dooooooooooope

@lettsplay10: Yo, what's with all the hate for Sam?
Yo, what's with all the hate for Sam?
S'not really hate for Sam so much as love for Richard Rider: People got a lot of respect for him after the Annihilation War. Especially since around that time, Civil War on Earth was happening. So we had a bunch of heroes trying to kill each other on Earth, resulting in a lot of characters being poorly written, killed, or just pushed into hiding by their friends. Meanwhile, we had Rider up in space leading an army against a force that threatened to destroy the entire universe.
This scan sums it up best:

How are they going to do Nova? They've all ready established the Nova Corps are pilots, not superpowered dudes.
@jonsmith: I see where you're coming from, but I guess I just really connect with Sam as a character due to similar backgrounds and ages.
@fallschirmjager: I was thinking Sam could maybe come across one of the gems on Earth or that the Nova Corps as they are portrayed in the comics are some kind of like legendary group from time past and it turns out that Sam's Grandpa or something was in the group and so he stumbles upon the helmet in amongst old stuff which his family perceive to be junk of his Grandpa's.

Xandar gets attacked (probably by Thanos looking for the Orb), the Nova Corps assembles in their ships, along with newbie Richard Rider. He gets taken out of the fight early on when his ship is damaged and crashes, causing him to pass out. He comes to at the behest of the Worldmind, which informs him he's the last surviving member of the Nova Corps, and he needs to get the Worldmind offworld before it's destroyed. After going through the requisite drama of realizing all his allies are dead, he makes his way to the Worldmind with it's direction.
At which point it reveals that all of Xandar's tech, from their ships to their weapons, is powered by the Nova Force, an extraordinary energy source discovered and harnessed long ago. If it or the Worldmind is destroyed, it could punch a hole in reality. So it gives Richard a helmet for the Worldmind to download into, and generates a suit to both house and regulate the entirety of the Nova Force. Said suits haven't been given out before because it would require the Worldmind onboard the suit to regulate the Nova Force sufficiently so it doesn't adversely effect the wearer, which isn't a problem when it's channeled into a reactor or battery. Which'd place the Worldmind at risk of being destroyed. Given the circumstances, that's no longer a concern, so...
Voila. Richard's got the Nova Force, a suit that gives him all the powers of comic book Nova, in spite of them being portrayed as more conventional pilots.
@fallschirmjager: Just say they had a hidden sector dedicated to training elite warriors or something

Experimental tech? It wouldn't be that hard. New experimental tech for their "new wave of heroes" the important ones get the helmets and cool costumes, the other ones are fodder.
