He didn't beat Darkseid but yeah butt hurt is real when it comes to Batman feats.

Scott Snyder said that the Superman infected with Joker's poison was weakened, so Batman actually won against a weak Superman. And Batman didn't defeat Darkseid but he did manage to hurt him but I do think that there is some bias against Batman feats in general.

eh, Superman was under the influence of Joker's gas and like the user above said, he was weakened. and for the love of God, Batman never defeated Darkseid with his dumb suit.

Superman was weakened by Joker's poison and Batman only won by surprising Superman at the last second with that Kryptonite gum nonsense. And Batman never came close to beating Darkseid in the Hellbat armour, he just got Darkseid riled up enough to supercharge the Chaos Crystal to bring Damian back to life.

The gum thing was dumb...like where did that even come from? Also why hasn't Bruce gotten like...cancer or something with carrying around something that is radioactive, much less chewing it...

Most of Batman's new feats are PIS so yes.

PIS means inconsistency. Batman has been taking out superhuman characters amongst his many other feats. Those are high-end showing, but consistent high-end showings.

Therefore no, I think Comicvine's butthurt against Batman is real.

Batman is peak human with near superhuman feats, he's somehow in the debate for best martial artists in a world of supers with martial prowess. He mastered 127 (or something like that) in like 10 years, WHILE honing his mind to become the single greatest detective the world has ever seen. Even in the comic world, batman is practically walking PIS. The dude has gadgets that seemingly fit the specific situation at hand, the mental capacity to take down virtually anything "with prep", he's rich, attractive, outclasses other heroes with actual superpowers on the daily, and people argue he's not overpowered or broken as a character. With that said, I love the batverse. His rogues and supporting characters make for great story potential. If he was a mutant it would all add up. Instead, he's just some Joe Schmoe that saw his rich parents get killed..

As a Batman fan myself even I have to admit that many of batman's modern prep feats are getting beyond ridiculous. It almost seems like its not even "prep" anymore, he might as well have full blown precognition. That being said at least they somewhat try to explain batman's feats. (Even if they do a terrible job of it). It could be worse, Batman could've wound up like Karate Kid........... Or Squirrel Girl....

Batman beat a Superman that was weakened by the Joker toxin. The gum part was a tasteless way to defeat Superman. I guess you could argue the combo of red suns, the toxin and gum were the factor that lead to him passing out. Second, he never beat Darkseid. Darkseid gave him a pretty bad beating, but still Batman was able to get a few good punches on him. He needed his son and a charged Chaos Shard. As for the Mobius Chair, he was quite powerful with that, which is what the Mobius Chair is supposed to do.

Still, I do feel like he is lowballed quite a bit on his high end feats.

Because they're afraid that the "Bat fanboys" will start posting these feats and claim that Batman is the best and everything. The smaller fandoms are insecure and frankly envious.

I personally dont even like Tom King's current overpowered Batman but King himself isn't that far from Snyder, Morrison or Tomasi ( major Batman writers of the last few years) himself either. It's comical to see people using PIS when PIS by it's very definition refers to inconsistency.

Batman isn't inconsistent, he and Catwoman took down 15 super villains in one evening including Mad Monk, King Snake, and Amygdala. Snyder's Batman has similarly been lowing through hordes of villains himself, he just defeated Deadshot in JL vs Suicide Squad, he took down an entire army, tactically took down 2 giant monsters with nothing but a bike and jet pack(to highlight his intellect) and in the future there is a massive showdown with Bane in the works and the JLA writer Orlando will pit him against Lord Havok(DC's Dr Doom) and Prometheus down the road plus with Deathstroke being in the upcoming Batman film expect something big on that front too. I used to think Batman vs Daredevil/Captain America were good fights but not anymore. Batman imo should stomp them decisively but the average CV user is still convinced that Batman vs Cap is a good fight because their brains have been hard wired to believe that it will always be a good fight. Batman and Deathstroke are getting far more powerful and approaching Midnighter levels these days.

It further pisses off fanboys when they see their favorite characters getting nerfed. Wolverine was nerfed for a good while before he got offed, current Black Panther is seriously nerfed. These few characters mentioned are some of the favorite street levelers on the battle forums and right now the tide is seriously tilted in favor of Midnighter, Deathstroke and Batman.

Its an opinion. Its OP's subjective opinion that that Batman with prep can beat skyfather level entities. It is also your subjective opinion that Batman with prep cannot beat them. Deal with it.

What's wrong with it? Fictional characters beating fictional characters is a subjective opinion. It is a fact that Batman has shown feats taking on skyfather level characters. What is debateable is what is considered a "legit" feat.

Darkseid. Batman fought Darkseid with the Hellbat suit. What is debate-able is whether Batman decisively beat Darkseid.

Yeah personally I wouldn't think Darkseid can match Odin as well, but the concept of comic book characters' power levels are so inconsistent, given different writers and different time periods that the term "skyfather" can fit a wide range of power. People on comicvine are often talking past each other regarding the capabilities, at many times due to the definitions.

Therefore it isn't illogical to say that Batman with prep can beat skyfather level characters.

Its still a subjective opinion, but I don't think so. There are no feats where Batman has struggled with a character on the level of TOAA/Presence. Emperor Joker doesn't count, because Emperor Joker isn't on the level of Presence, and it is near unanimous that Batman can't contend with Emperor Joker, with the exception of Superman.

It has been said many times, but bears repeating - he didn't defeat Darkseid. He did go toe-to-toe with him for a bit, which is still incredibly impressive.

His victory over Superman in Endgame was legit, though. Supes was "weakened" (how much, we don't know), but he was also more or less bloodlusted because of the Joker virus. Batman was also holding back on Supes and giving him openings.
