Do you think Arkham versions of Batman stack up to the comic version?

Not talking only about the power levels.

I'm talking about the quality of story, villans, and etc etc

not by feats. but by everything else he's so similar

the stories were beautifully done (the only flawed one was Arkham Knight but the story was still great). The Villains were very similar and true to the comics as well.

Arkham Batman was great

@itouchedtheboat:

That's so nice.

Which feats did he lack?

And would you say that the Arkham stories were actually better than comic ones?

I have read all of Rebirth Batman and tbh I didn't find the comics that good.

@Richubs: His new 52 run was pretty good. You should try that. And yes I think Arkham batman power levels and the stories were almost on par with comics.

it's not like Batman Arkham showed any evidence of being weaker or slower than main continuity Batman, it's just that comics Batman had a lot more feats than Arkham Batman. Like punching through glass that supposed to be grenade proof, or being able to catch up to a car on foot while it's speeding off for a brief moment.

uhhh I'd have to say best story vs best story, Batman comics are better. if you're comparing Rebirth comics then I agree the game's stories are way better. But you need to read Batman stories by Grant Morrison or Scott Snyder.

I have to apologise I might have mixed up the New 52 and Rebirth.

I think I read New 52 not Rebirth.

I'll try to read some of the more legendary Batman stories and they might change my mind.

wow you read Scott Snyders run on Batman and didn't think it was as good as Arkham Batman? I guess I can see in some instances why you'd think that, there were moments where Batman seemed dumb in the new52 so I can see what you mean. Arkham Batman was a total boss even while dying lol

yeah dude, Batman RIP (even though I don't remember much of it) is great

Re: Power Levels, I always got the impression that Arkham Bruce basically is comic Bruce (albeit not without noticeable alterations in the overall Gotham lore), given how many events from the comics are implied to have taken place in the Arkhamverse like No Man's Land.
