Poll Do you think Alan Moore got pissed at Geoff Johns over Doomsday Clock and Three Jokers? (19 votes)

Yes 53%
No 47%

Johns continued the Watchmen story, incorporated it into the main DCU, and expanded upon elements of The Killing Joke. Moore might not be happy with Johns tampering with his works.

As for Doomsday Clock, definitely. This is Alan Moore, he's vehemently opposed any expansions or adaptations of Watchmen. He disowned HBO's Watchmen before production had even begun.

As for Three Jokers, not sure. I don't think he'd be as protective of Killing Joke, something with characters he did not create, as he is over Watchmen.

I mean he literally admitted that he doesn't like Killing Joke and regretted of writing it.

@paleblood: Even though it's highly renowned and is regarded as one of the greatest Batman stories of all time? Moore is likely too much of a perfectionist to be proud of more than a few of his works.

Moore really doesn't care the way comic fans think he does. Whenever he voices any disdain with the comic industry it's usually because he was asked.

He doesn't care lol. He's made frankly better products at this point (League of Gentlemen, Jerusalem, etc) why should he care about old stuff that even he admits he doesn't like his writing on (Killing Joke) or has admitted to not following (Watchmen)

I had to vote no. He stopped giving a shit so long ago. I would not be surprised if he didn't even know who Geoff Johns was.

On some level, wouldn't you care if someone took your epic vision and distorted and changed it into what they want instead of what you wanted?

@jashro44: Likely the case, he would probably hate Johns's works but not get pissed about them.

The man discards his masterpieces like leftover scraps. Likely doesn't care.

I am sure a guy like him would have terribly hated Johns's Three Jokers bc it retconned his own work but I don't think will have any impact on him at this point.

He didn't really care about Joker at any point; Watchmen he did care about, but he's probably long past that by now.

Alan Moore doesn't really care about the comic industry anymore, so it is really hard to get an honest opinion out of him.
