Do you prefer Death Note or Code Geass?

I personally enjoyed CG more due to it giving the side characters more development, and giving the main character a more relatable goal. I liked DN too, and the similarities to CG are insane, but Light made some pretty stupid decisions at times that made me want to throw a rock at the screen at times.

I prefer Death Note. The first 25 episodes are some of the best I ever watched. The last 13 were not as good, but still solid.

Personally I think that CG was more consistent than DN but DN had better highs.

Code Geass.

Death note was about a man who wanted to save the world, Code geas was about something important

Code Geass was the more enjoyable of the two, though the second season had a lot of problems I’d change iirc. Second part of Death Note was much worse than the first as well imo.

To me code Geass was trying to be too much. It's a harem, it's a mech, it's a psychological thriller, it's like it was trying to put all the anime tropes into one. I'm for a deaf note for being just a simple story of a guy trying to take over the world 😂

Code Geass. Second half of Death Note was very lackluster IMO. And Near was just a terrible character.

Pretty close actually but Death Note's second season brings it down. Might favor Code Geass slightly.

I will have to watch CG. I'm a big fan if Death Note

CG easily, endings are paramount and CG has one of the best endings to an anime.

Code Geass also Lelouch>>>>>>>> Light

Liked them both equally; pt 2 Death Note was lame and so was most of season 2 of Code Geass but both season 1s were phenomenal examples of anime done right.
