Anyone ?
Not fanboying . Just curious
@life_without_progress: I feel like he is just recycling the old ideas like ultraviolet lanterns or strength force
@king-ragnar: then why people compare them .
Also I am modifying op people thinking me as a Scott fan boy lol
Not at all. The next Bendis or Johns perhaps, but not Morrison... not nearly enough illigal substances done.
Elaborating: Thing is Snyder is a very good entertainment writer. He writes stuff like Metal, JL and various Bat-stories people like because it's everything people want superheroes to do. He however has always had problems with sticking to the landing with his various stories, which often just seem to end in some weird nonsense, like if a book ended on 'and they won etc.'
Morrison on the other hand takes his writing and the characters further and explores deeper narratives and foibles of the heroes and villains.
End of the day, Morrison has written All-Star Superman, Arkham Asylum: Serious House, Final Crisis, he's reinvented Batman, Doom Patrol, Animal Man... So far Snyder is more... blockbuster than character study. I'd even go so far and say Tom King is probably more Morrison than Snyder is... though his writing in the main DCU is also highly aggravating. :(
Snyder can be really good, sure as hell entertaining at least. He has interesting ideas and creates good concepts. The way he handles, or at least tries to handle, his stories is similar to Grant Morrison or a writer of that caliber. However, he has always been pretty bad at execution and keeping you interested and satisfied at the end of his projects.
He is the closest we will get to Morrison nowadays, but he is defo not on the same level.
Although I really enjoy Snyder’s work and he’s a really big rising star
I liken him more to a Donny Cates style of writing inspidered by guys like Brian Bendis, Geoff Johns, Greg Pak and Mark Waid
Rather than a Grant Morrison which is more Hickmam, Aaron, Ellis, Millar style
Regardless of how good or bad he is compared to Morrison, I don't think his writing style is similar enough for him to be considered the next Morrison.
No, as someone mentioned, he's more similar to Waid and Johns though he's more technically refined than Johns.
King is similar to Bendis.
Tim Seeley and Steve Orlando are the ones who seem most inspired by Morrison.

I would slightly disagree there. Orlando is more influenced by writers such as Keith Giffen, J.M. Dematteis and to an extent George Perez, but I wouldn't exactly say that he is inspired by Morrison.
No. But Snyder was one of the reasons i got into Batman .He had interesting ideas of evolving different stories but it's left behind with how much depth of the whole comic arc started.
I think that after reading other viners's opinions ,maybe I got interested in his comics cause's it 's quite entertaining and enticing.

Orlando's Midnighter books had a clear Morrison influence though, which he himself did not shy away from. He further mentioned Morrison's influences on The Shadow/Batman and JLA, the latter was also inspired by the creators you named.
