Had u beloved character which u started to hate ?

No. I don't give random anonymous individuals online the power to dictate my preferences with their behavior, attitude or opinions. No one should.

It would also be an exercise in futility, because for every excessively vexing fanboy of "character ABC", there is someone who hates character ABC and their fans, and who has made an alt account to pretend to be a fanboy of "character ABC" because they are a fanboy of "character XYZ" and they act and behave in a way to mock and undermine "character ABC" disingenuously, so you would also be liable to their manipulations as well.

Better to dislike the tiresome behavior and attitudes behind the biases and excessive favoritism, not the arbitrary fictional characters their attention fell/falls over. Plus there are great, knowledgable, friendly and chill fans of every character. No yes, even that character.

Distancing yourself from a toxic fandom like Rick and morty , star wars , or Voltron makes sense. But as long as the product is something you love i domt see why you wouldn't want to keep reading about your favorite character

A character isn't defined by their fanbase (unless for sales value or stuff that the editorial crew changes a certain aspect of the character) so no, not really.

No. If you are allowed to hate something simply because the opinions of others, something you at first enjoyed - I suggest you have a mental problem you should probably work out. I don't think it is healthy to let random people hold that much sway in your thoughts and feelings.

Not at all.

On the flip side though, other people's enthusiasm and insights about a character has at times made me see them in a new light.

I'm more disgusted by writers and editors who concede to making changes to a character because of a loud minority.

When it came down to it, I had hated Thanos and Batman due to the toxic fans that say these two are unstoppable with prep.

No. Annoying fanboys shouldn't turn someone off to a great character they like. That's just goofy.

In that case you should hate those “fanboys” instead because they literally have nothing to do with their fan base only that they are favored by them. Unless their fan base change who they are and that “who” don’t really fit your ideology anymore than you can start hating on them.

Hating someone because they are liked by someone you don’t like is not appropriate and the most childish thing I have ever heard.

I know this feeling when it comes to movies; reading backhanded insults from fans of movies I liked directed at other movies I love can trigger this reflex, but as far as characters are concerned I never had this feeling.

I use to think Thanos was cool but his fan base is more annoying than Multi Eternity/ Living Tribunal fans. They think with prep he's somehow unkillable and even without it they say he beats 99% of people but always forget that Death is his amp and any feats with her aid should be ignored

I love pro wrestling, and like to go to indie shows that are cheaper and smaller than wwe. Indie Pro wrestling fans god bless them and there are a lot of great ones but some of them are such miserable bastards who feel the need to crap on everything.... it kills me.

While I still enjoy the character and concept, being around when Sentry wank was at a all time high kinda stains the reputation of the character a far bit.

Harley Quinn. It's not because of her fans, even though they do annoy me sometimes. It was because of the Arkham games. I like tara strong, but I can't stand her harley voice. I also hate DC's insistence on making her their 4th pillar.
