difference between pyschic and telepathic?

what is it?

I'm not 100% but I would say telepathy would be communicaing mentally and being able to access/affect another's mind and nothing more. Psychic would include that but also mean the person could do stuff with the astral plane, know things are occuring elsewhere or will occur in the future, etc.

I knew I was missing stuff (astral projection, empathy and such) so I left the "etc" at the end as a catch-all. Basically I was just saying that psychic includes telepathy as well as other stuff.

Yes Buckshot, i understand your point and i agree. What i was trying to say is that you can also add astral projection as a power.

So then, what's 'Psionic'?

psionic is forming things with your mind, i think.

Wouldn't that be like earh manipulation?

A psychic can tell everyone what you'll do tomarrow, a telepath can tell everyone what you want to do tomarrow.

Psionics covers anything done with the mind, including Telepathy, Telekinesis, Technopathy, Mind Control, Mental Blasts, Precognition and Hypnosis including any Illusion Manifestation.

I'd love to see the powers broken up into categories with the sub-categories below it, such as:

Psionics

• Telepathy

• Mind Control

• Mental Blasts

Psychic, telepathic and psionic for simplicity purposes are all synonymous.       %Pr

Psychic: Could have anything to do with the mind (Psylocke's PSI knife, for example). But is usually reserved for people have precognitive abilities  (Destiny)
 
Telepath: Someone that can read minds, control minds, mentally damage minds, etc. Basically someone that can access someone's mind using their own mind.
