Did thanos temporarily resist the snap? or just got lucky

@stalker_2: true but that was on a universal scale, so maybe it was by strength and ability to resist - here its in a controlled size and thanos is definitively last one to dust away

like for instance in infinity war spiderman was last person we saw dusted (onscreen) from earth and in strength he was physically the strongest of person dusted (onscreen that we saw at least outside of maybe groot, but tbh spiderman stronger than baby groot by feats)

Neither. It was just for drama effect. during the original snap everyone didn’t disappear at the same time either. Also, ironman could have wished him to disappear last so thanos could see everything turn to dust before he himself was dusted.

tbh what about spider-man though? he knew something was wrong, his spidersense was telling him it was coming and he could feel it yet didn't dust right away - most characters dusted straight away yet peter resisted for a good ass amount of time, like his body was fighting it

The time it took for someone to fully dust:

Mantis: 1 second

Star-Lord: 1 second

Doctor Strange: 1 second

Falcon: 2 seconds

Winter Soldier: 3 seconds

Black Panther: 3 seconds

Wanda: 4 seconds

Groot: 6-7 seconds

Drax: 6-7 seconds

Thanos: 7-60 seconds

Spider-Man: 21-30 seconds

It's hard to tell with Thanos because his reaction could just be a result of him witnessing his army getting dusted and realizing he's lost.

The Spider-Man time difference is also due to not knowing if the dusting process began when he vocally acknowledged not feeling well, or if that was simply his Spider-Sense going into overdrive.

I think it's safe to say that Thanos' time is longer than 7 seconds (since Spider-Man's minimum is 3x that length), we just don't know for sure if Thanos resisted the snap for 60 seconds.

Drax, not Groot, was the most durable one we saw dusted (other than Spider-Man).

Thanos has shown limited reality manipulation durability, so he probably was able to exist in the physical plane longer.

IIRC IW commentary states Spider-Man was took longer to fade due to his durability. For Thanos it seems like willpower more than durability.
