Guy that fell from orbit

@DammeFavour: Didnt Thor fall from orbit when he landed on Sakaar?

@tethadam:

Not from orbit I don’t think but it was still a very high fall.

But since it is Thor, it isn’t impressive.

@tethadam: through a wormhole. Not from orbit, pretty sure loki did too and we know how durable that guy is

@mr_shazam0920: it would be if loki didn't as well,

That last part of your statement was really lazy mate

@DammeFavour:

We didn’t see what happened with Loki, so it isn’t certain he fell the same distance or anything along those lines. He arrived weeks before from a different entrance point.

Also, is Loki surviving a long fall somehow an anti feat for the laws of physics themselves? Let’s say he did survive a fall from a wormhole that was very high. How does that make it less impressive?

@mr_shazam0920: so, from that particular point in space where they both left the bifrost, it makes logical sense that they took the same portal to get to sakaar, the difference in time can be explained away.

Loki already has established durability from the puny God moment, getting smashed into concrete a few times incapacitated him, what do you think a 30,000 ft drop would do to him?

Avatar image for mr_shazam0920

@DammeFavour:

In the bifrost they are literally bending space and time. Loki was knocked out by Hela a good couple of seconds before Thor was. A few seconds in the bifrost could literally be galaxies away. There were a bunch of portals in the sky.

Nonetheless, you didn’t answer my question. Let’s say Thor and Loki fell from the same portal that was obviously in the sky and thousands of feet up. How is it less impressive that Thor survives it by Loki surviving it?

A fall is a fall is a fall lol.

Zod's dead body is more durable than Thanos. No earthly anything could pierce Zods corpse but Ironman over here making Thanos bleed with earthly metal.

The guy who held the power stone without getting instantly obliterated,not a single avenger(Thor as an exception) could do any real damage to him,tanked bullets,tanked lightning,tanked the snap which could destroy a continent (and thanos doesn't have gamma radiation), wasn't killed by destroying infinity stones,is not more durable than zod. Yes

U know Gauntlet power is power to light up entire continent. If u find calculation how much energy is needed to do it u will find out. Hulk survived this because of gamma ray ( main reason why it is dangerous and Hulk comes from Gamma rays ). Gamma rays obliterates your DNA in cells that why it is so deadly ( watch Chernobyl on HBO so u will see how strong it is ).

"All that for a drop of blood" , it was only a drop of blood (like very little amount of it). It was also a result of everything Tony dropped on him.

And that was Nano-Tech suit , no one knows how strong that is compared to other Earth Metals. Like Gold-Titanium alloy (Used in his old suits) is 3 times harder that Titanium , in real life.

A guy who can no-sell orbital re-entry with his face is by far more durable than Thanos. This feat alone makes him much more durable, let alone his other super ridiculous durability feats.

While I think Zod hits harder due to his speed, I think Thanos might have better durability, but it’s hard to say.

And when Zod landed after coming from orbit he barely left a crater. Based off of visuals Thanos should be able to survive that impact as well.

@jedixman: That's not really impressive for mid-tiers. Iron Man would no-sell re-entry based on tanking a meteor that ignited via speed.

Thanos is conceivably invincible. He put up a shell just before Iron Man hit him with the building at the beginning of the Titan fight, so we'd have to find something that could reasonably out-force the power stone... which kills planets.

I wouldn't say he no-sold the meteor. Zod never, at any point, took damage until Superman snapped his neck.

The meteor didn't do a thing to his armor so yes he no-sold it.

I wasn't commenting on who is more durable but re-entry is a bottom feeder feat at this tier.

Why is tanking re entry impressive? Ships in IW did that, Thor was ripping them to shreds, yet Thanos tanked his lightning.

Thanos and Zod are likely very similar in this (except piercing). Both were tanking punches from high tiers without any sort of real damage.

Supes - or any kryptonian's strength never were game-changers. Kryptonians can spend days taking turns hitting one another without any other effect than knockback. I think damage levels are much, much more impressive in the MCU, probably because the supermen in there use super-weapons instead of their bare hands.

I really don't see Thanos having his neck snapped like Zod's was. =)

Thanos did get cut, it took everything Iron Man had in his most advanced armor to do it...but still he got cut. After everything we’ve seen Thanos endure not activating the Gems I don’t think that gap is that big, but this is advantage for the General.

Avatar image for mike_fowler

@mazahs117: key note that it wasn’t just everything Iron Man had, it took that plus everything he (thanos) took in that fight beforehand, like getting that large structure rammed on top of him, nebula crashing that necrocraft into him, and so on and so forth
