This came up in debate recently and it made me look into it for more accurate canon info on the subject, as many of you likely already know the BvS Mech suit doesnt amp Batmans physical strength or striking power but actually only amps his durability and the impact of his strikes due to the armour.

For those that did not know this here are three pieces of info on the armour in question, one of which is Zack Snyder out right stating how the suit works.

No Caption Provided

Here from around 15:25 onwards Zack talks about the suit in the below video:

And here in this video we get some info in the BvS fight (some of it is dubious mind you) and it differentiates Batman's striking power and the armours impact itself, also it gives some decent durability feat numbers:

Thanks for reading and hopefully for anyone who didnt know this it will shed some new light on his feats and character, especially in the mech Batman vs Superman fight itself.

Edit / Bump - New video of Snyder further confirming this at 3:40 "The Mech suit doesn't really make him stronger, but more armor in case superman hits him"

Wasn’t there something that directly contradicts this and says the suit punches with 1 ton of force?

@juicers: I mean he used the grapple and Superman to help, I dont think he could walk over and punch them apart for instance.

I knew this would probably not track well but its interesting that it seems 100% canon he got no strength boost.

@finalkingthanos:

It was clearly shown on screen that the suit gave him strength, durability and striking boost so in this case onscreen feats takes precedence over the director's statement.

The primary function of the suit was to help him survive a pummeling from Clark, but the suit actually does give him strength and striking boost, as confirmed in the ultimate edition of BVS. After all it was a powered exoskeletal suit...

I'm not sure what Zack meant, but I think it's fairly clear from the video's commentary that it did boost his striking power:

"With his metal man gloves, this is like getting hit in the face with a battering ram."

That said, if the 1450 lbs of force number is referring to his raw strength, that sounds very impressive.

@johndeyvido: @anthp2000: yes the impact with the armour on gives him better striking thats without question.

@finalkingthanos:

This is a now a debate of semantics. You already agreed the armor armor improved his striking. His strength is what allowed him to swing superman with enough force to shatter pillars so that suit improved his strength to. That's what exosuits do, improves users stat.

@johndeyvido: No, like the video and other sections show the armour only improves the impact of his strikes not his actual power.

@finalkingthanos: Despite on-screen evidence, the fact it was a powered exoskeleton suit, confirmation given in the BvS ultimate edition DVD, and various other viners correcting you?

And don't make me laugh, you don't debate on CV, you take preference in insulting people and wanking Thanos.

@bayman007: Its specifically said the power source of the armour is to specifically help him move as "normal" despite the sheer added weight of said armour.

As for the rest that a nice slap of irony indeed.

Also what kind of weird insult is the mod application form.... lol? Ive never once tried to be a mod nor would I.

first off, that's a clear insult, not impressed

second, you don't know what "semantics" means? Hmm.

Im asking if theres any other info out there that contradicts this other than Batman cant do that etc etc.

Actually there was a official youtube video that stated that the exoskeleton's hands and feet were laced with lead to make the hits stronger, plus it's a POWERED exosuit, so obviously the power goes to fueling his physical stats, not just to helping him move around in it. It's more or less common sense rather than something requiring specific wording via very shaky sources to confirm.

Im sure youll continue the sarcastic know it all persona instead though.

I'm sure you will continue to act half your age at 26. Again, these insults aren't needed and just highlight your unnecessary need to put people down.

@professorrespect: You didnt bother watching any of it did you? I literally linked said video you are bringing up and they do infact say the added armour helps the impact of his strikes but he has no added power boost from the exo suit as that itself is designed specifically just to help him move more normally within the heavy armour.

Ok mate im sure it was Stalin or something wasnt it? I appreciate the life lesson and will continue to better myself in your image lol so hypocritical as always im sure you have a big smile when you send these replies.

@professorrespect: so what video are you talking about? The second one I linked "the might and power of the punch"* is from BvS itself so if theres another official video I would gladly watch it of course.

Says the second linked video ive mentioned for a 3rd time now...

Edit - the image I added about the armour is also official and states just that about the armours power source.

That's false. As pointed out several times, the actual on-screen canon sources take precedence, including the features on the special DVD.

So again your claims have been debunked. They are your claims because you are already using YOUR claims in other threads i.e. Batman vs Brixton.

I can't help you with your denial problems, perhaps seek professional advice.

Then theres you talking about mod application forms for some crazy reason lmao always the entertainer mr bayman.

@finalkingthanos: The BvS ultimate edition video shows how the POWERED Mech-suit enhanced his Strength and Striking. You literally see him using it this way in the theatrical release.

I dont think this number can be used for non mech Batman punches.

Even if the suit did not increase strength, those metal gloves add lots of weight to his hands.

----------

Sap glove(gloves lined with lead) exist for a reason, having your hands encased in metal of course would incase your striking power, no strength increase needed.
