Ye it's the energy of the atomic blast. If someone bothered to calc it we could approximate some numbers for his nuke feat.

Well he shot his heatvision up. His "booshes" that are released omnidirectionally from his body are the most destructive power he has. I knew this before tho good feat but hard if not impossible to calc since its quite different from normal explosions and is more of a chain of red lightnings that generates a shockwave.

That can be explained by perspective and view angle tho i think this one is the one he did inside the city and not the island. We knew the island was 2 miles before this i think (even tho it was from questionable source). Also obviously not, this is far better than overloading 10 GW to 475%.

The beam is sent through Earth's core, and also, the area beneath where the two machines are at seem to affected on the seemingly live map.

So, the World Engine and Black Zero are indeed affecting much more than a couple of City blocks. But not sure if that means much.

Thor's shockwave was only 1 mile in radius, this one is 2 miles.

Thor's hit only fell trees, DD's shockwave crumbled buildings as well.

As per OP's quote, DD's blast scorched stuff as well unlike Thor's hit which was pure shockwave.

The most we can say is that while he is intended to be that strong (unless the filmmaker changed their minds), the moviemakers didn't bother destroying the forest in-movie.

Arc reactor mk 1 is 10 3 Gw/15 min duration which is consistent with on-screen statement but power and duration improved in mk 2, Property Master who made the arc reactor multiplied its power by breaking it into triangular sections, referred to him and RDJ working it as "1000x more powerful" or so between each of the films.. That's because the process "cuts the molecular structure of the energy" or something.

The island itsself isn't two miles, The AoE is released over the Gotham harbor, which is the 2 miles VFX supervisor was referring to.

I think it is a good feat for Superman, but technically, he wasn't at the epicenter, so he didn't tank much of the AOE blast.

@organic: Superman tanked the one released after the refinery (or whatever it was) explosion. He was still somewhat away, which does lower the amount he tanked (we would need to calc it, I think).

No one besides DD was there when he released his AOE after the nuke.

This changes literally nothing. We saw Batman and Lois survive behind some rubble.
