There is definitely some potential here. But with that said there is some big negatives as well:
1. I won't be getting this. Don't like DC enough to pay for another subscribe channel.
2. Greg Berlanti is producing. So, lol.....no. Just no on TT.
But it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Like, will there be old DC shows to watch. I mean what DC content can there be to justify the cost of a whole channel. Old movies? I don't see it. Unless they make one new show a week or something.
But really I think this is more of a necessity. DC core shows kept getting cancelled or drop before the pilot on anything other than the CW. Which doesn't help DC at all. Powerless just got cancelled. Super girl got cancelled before the first season ended by CBS. Constantine got cancelled. TT got its pilot dropped by TNT and has been in limbo. No subscription service or basic cable channels other than the CW would touch DC characters unless they were directly tied to Batman(Gotham) or Superman(Krypton). I think DC done this as a way from going obsolete. It's like, fine no one will pick up our shows so will do it ourselves.
But it's been a while now and no real channels or services has wanted to pick up a DC show. Netflix, HBO, Hulu, Amazon, TNT etc.... This was out of necessity.
And there's no way these shows will be able to keep up with the already established Netflix and other services. DC will take a huge loss on this buts it's nessasary for there survival.
