DC Nation Issue # 5 -The Top Ten Threats of the DC Universe

I realize this is basically a "kayfabe" list but it might be fun to discuss.

The hell is darkseid at 8? Oh wait, current threats, not overall?

Uhm well, what else to say then that this list screams Bats fanboy and makes barely any logical sense. I mean we have threats like Darkseid, the LoD and even the freaking Upside-Down Man(who is a threat to the whole magical community in the DCverse, a goddamn reality warper and got just countered by yet another threat who should actually be in that list right now) together with Bane and Talia al Ghul for example...

Yeah current, LOL. Only been reading Justice League, JLO and Heroes in Crisis. IDK who some of these even are.

LOL Besides the list there was a pretty cool preview for Uncle Sam and The Freedom Fighters and Justice League/Aquaman Drowned Earth.

Talia al Ghul is apparently one of the biggest threats to DC universe......

Nah but in all seriousness, this list is laughably inaccurate.

Like, the list is about the current situation. Bane and Talia probably have access to some crazy plot-related sh!t that might threaten more than just Gotham. At least... I hope they do.

I don't mind BWL being at the top. He's an interesting character who with prep is scarily powerful. Its Bane and Talia that are bothering me.

2. Snyder
3. Dark theme of the movies(Not saying Batman to be sarcastic but Superman can smile and give us some light yet deep talk.
4. WB being too adamant to listen to fans(Anyone like Movie Barry Allen? Or Lex?)
5. Weak Storylines
6. Bad CGI
7. DC TV. CW arrowverse is better than most of DCEU. Wonder Woman was a great movie though.
8. Bad casting. Example: If you put someone like Rock as Black Adam, it's kinda impossible to find someone with same physique and screen presence who can play the hero.
9. Ryan's Green Lantern
10. Lack of villains who can make people go crazy(Loki is example). Waiting for Rock though.

Here's some scans for anyone interested. I think it makes more sense that this ordering is more based around upcoming/current threats than overall powerful threats, because come on; we all know there's more powerful villains than these.

If you look at the bottom of the entries, you'll find little "threat level" indicators, with Bane at 4/10, Talia al Ghul at 5/10, and Darkseid at 6/10. Those numbers seem a bit arbitrary, but I suppose superhero comics aren't often very consistent. Just look at Marvel's intelligence hierarchy.

But yeah, this is horrible ranking if you just read it as the most powerful DC villains. Just view these as previews.

That list is full of bs. It's just about which villains are trying to be popular and which top creators are pushing them hard.

Lol Bane in a comparison with the Upside Down Man and Batman who laughs as number 1 threat(to be fair he at least belongs into such a list if we include prep), DC surely loves their Batwank.

They missed the biggest threat of them all.

@the_badman: His prep is unimpressive. All he did was take out his friends and family in an unstable universe borne out of Batman's nightmares meaning the universe itself was working in his favor. Even things that may not have worked eventually worked in his favor.In the normal universe he doesn't have the advantage of surprise any longer nor access to Batman's resources and its rules are not based on Batman's imagination. His God and his Dark Knight pals are dead/in the wind. I dont think he was ever shown to be carrying gadgets either.

Short of pulling something out of his ass there's virtually nothing he can do even with prep.
