During the DC Panel spoke "I don't want to start no Eastcoast/ Wescoast feud with Marvel comics now, But DC Comics have the best Villains ever" while introducing his upcoming movie the Suicide Squad.
David Ayer on DC and Marvel villains
Hmm. I somewhat agree. Spider-Man is the only person I can think of with notable rogues. Wolverine too.
@kfabz-23: Magneto and Doom........I win, you lose.
@immortal777: Why do you forget Sinestro, Eobard Thawne and Black Adam. :| I'm sad now.
@vinomonster: Because Joker and Lex are thee most popular villains.
@immortal777: Joker, Lex, Darkseid, Sinestro, Brainiac, Black Adam. Come at me bro!
My favorite villain of all time is Doom. But majority of my other favorite villains are from DC. So he's sort of right.
DC stomp because they let their villains have humanity in them.
For some reason Marvel never does this or delete scenes that do this.
Hello flame war thread.
DC villains have more intimidation in the movies, which is why you fear them, they make you not want to be in the heroes position because you know you won't survive.
In comics, it's preference, but I'd choose DC
In comics I will argue that point...but in Movies Hell Yeah....
@gambit474: only the first three actually work.
@sprior93: sinestro and joker gg
@sprior93: sinestro and joker gg
NOPE....try again :)
Odd, the guy contracted to work a DC movie starring DC villains says DC villains are better than the competitions. Weird.
Anyway it seems more to me like a jab at the silly Marvel vs DC nonsense fans get into than him taking shots.
Flame bait!
Exactly
Marvel HAS NOTHING in movies, comics or cartoons, that could outdo DC in their villains... NOTHING!!! The TV show GOTHAM is successful just on the premise of all the Batman villains The Penguin steals most scenes! Then you have The Riddler, Catwoman, Zasz, TwoFace, etc etc. The Flash TV Show is superb just on their villains alone: Professor Zoom, the Rogues, Gorilla Grodd and many others. Then there's the big screen legends and show stoppers like THE JOKER, LEX LUTHOR, ZOD, SINESTRO, BANE, THE SCARECROW, CATWOMAN, and now you have a movie all about super villains coming out. MARVEL can't compete with any of that. They just cant. In the comics there have been many major events all about their villains... FOREVER EVIL anyone? For gods sake DC just put out books with super villains for a whole month! Nothing else. SINESTRO, LOBO, DEATHSTROKE, THE SINISTER SIX, SUICIDE SQUAD, even BIZARRO!!! they all have their own books. DOOMSDAY gets his own event, DARKSEID and ANTIMONITOR have their own event. I can go on and on but it's not fair to keep making Marvel looking so sad when it comes to super villains.

Too bad that's opinion and not fact

I love Marvel and DC equally but DC has always had better villains than Marvel. Don't get me wrong Marvel does have its share of great villains but for every Dr. Doom or Green Goblin there's like 40 Paste Pot Petes (Yes, I know that's not his name anymore.)
Conversely DC does have some crappy villains but their great ones pretty much make all but Marvel's best pale in comparison. Tho its a different story with heroes. Aside from the big 7 DC doesn't really have as many high quality heroes. For proof, you say DC trinity and most people will just automatically know you mean Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, where as if you say Marvel trinity you end up in a 4 hour debate about who it consists of. Pretty much all of Marvel's A-list has at least one perfectly valid reason to be considered a counter part to DC's big three. As for B list Marvel has it all over DC.
DC does have a pretty great B team too, but Marvel edges them out. Overall they come up about even.
An argument could be made for either side as far as comics go, but as far as movies he's 100 percent right. Marvel films rarely ever deliver a decent villain.
