Darkseid Vs Thanos - Who is the better villain?

Tie. Across the board.

To me they just fill the exact same role. Neither is better than the other.

Wich is more powerful?

Thanos.

Wich is more badass?

Depends on the situation, and personal preference.

Wich has the best motivation?

They both just want power. So tie.

Wich is the better villain?

Again, depends on the situation and personal preference. Personally I'd say Thanos just because he tends to do things on a higher scale than Darkseid.

Definitely Darkseid.

-Regarding power, they're about even, but I'd back up Darkseid in a fight.

-Badassery definitely goes to the God of Evil himself, Darkseid.

-Motivation? Everything Thanos does is a failed attempt to impress Mistress Death. Darkseid, on the other hand, seeks to eradicate the multiverse of free will, making everyone a mindless servant to him. +1 to Darkseid.

-Darkseid is a way better villain.

They can be considered equals but I think Thanos edges Darkseid out in most categories but at the end of the day I like both equally.

I only give it too Thanos because Darkseid has always felt like he's slight inferior just by writing. Sometimes he feels like He'd lose In a 1v1 with Thor or Supes than others time he is how he should be and powerful enough to probably stomp both at once.

Thanos is more consistent but Darkseid has better high end feats but that's just my 2 cents.

Darksied is a god of evil. He is a multiversal threat. He is the only one, next to Doomsday, to hurt Superman. Thanos is some guy who sits on his butt while he has a worthless army of mooks attack the Avengers.

This is silly. They both sit on their asses and let their fodder attack the JLA/Avengers before stepping in themselves. I'd actually argue that Darkseid is more guilty of that trope than Thanos since Thanos only started regularly using armies and minions fairly recently. Before that, he would tend to just do everything himself.

I prefer Darkseid, but they both fulfil the exact same role within their universes. Don't be silly.

I think Darkseid is far more ruthless and evil than Thanos. Look at his track record compared to Thanos'. Then again I'm just biased. Hail Darkseid.

Darkseid is more threatening and imposing because he already has an entire planet under his tyrannical rule. He is the one who gives commands, as trifling with opponents is beneath him. Also, the Omega Beams are an iconic form of attack and cool to see in action. Can't name anything similar for Thanos.

Darkseid's motivation is also the ultimate in basic tyranny. He seeks to rule all life and has become the embodiment of that wish for DC. Also carried the "even when he loses, he still wins" image. Thanos for the longest time has suffered the love-sick puppy image chasing after death. All that to the point of giving him 3 different all-powerful items just to have him lose them. That comes off too much as trying too hard.

Darkseid has the better image as a villain.

Basically, when I think of "evil", I think of Darkseid. When I think of Thanos, I think "desperate."

@imperfect_cell: AntiMonitor NEVER said that. Besides its New 52 Half assery, in the Crisis where the real AM claimed multiverses, DARKSEID hid and cowered and only struck when AM was weak after a battle with The Spectre and all of DC's Mystics. Fact.

We've only seen the real Darkseid once, & it wasn't during Infinite Crisis.
