Loki. Why didn't he turn blue after Thanos killed him? Does this mean it was an illusion or the writers just forgot about that part?
Could this mean SPOILER didn't die in Infinity War?

lol
I think Loki's dead. Permanently.
He's not coming back from the dead. His arc is done and they even got Thor to speak indirectly to the audience and tell them that Loki is dead for real this time.
Loki is the ultimate troll, I wouldn’t be surprised if was still alive. My question is why didn’t Heimdall and other Asgardians turn to glitter when they died?
@theamazingspidey: Thanos also said "no more resurrections this time"

I wonder if Gamora will be resurrected, though. Hope not.
@theamazingspidey: Same. That death felt legit. I'll only accept it if Thanos brings her back himself.
Why would he? He didn't turn blue when he "died" in the Dark World.
That's because he didn't die.

So? If Loki turns blue upon death then he would have made his illusion turn blue too to make it look real. Thor didn't see any problem with it. I am just wondering what makes people think he should turn blue upon death.
A) They did not forget, because Loki actually mentions he is not asgardian in the scene, before he calls in Hulk. B) Loki turned blue when in contact with very low temperatures like when he used the casket of eternal winter and when a frost giant tried to kill him with cryokinesis. We never saw any suggestions it would happen upon his death. We don't really know what hides his frost giant nature, but its pretty clear its nothing Loko does sonce he did not know he was not an aagardian until the first thor movie.
At the end of ragnarok they show the grandmasters ship parked ontop of the ship thanos destroys( which is probably their way of secretly showing us lokies escape) When loki ducks for cover while hulk attacks thanos im thinking he used the grandmasters ship to escape but used illusion to fake his death.
The writers don't give a damn about consistency. Just look at Ragnarok and everything it turned on it's head about Thor 1.
Loki's dead. Just deal with it.

This.
My thoughts exactly. Thanos said "this time, no resurrections", and I believe he was referring to Loki's previous "deaths".
The opening scene was clearly meant to give us a hint of his threat level and determination to be ruthless if necessary, pimpslapping Thor, beating down the Hulk and killing Loki, all while having fun.
@anthp2000: Agreed

Spoiler didn't die because she's from DC, not Marvel. Come on guys, get it together.
You're so funny man
@rabumalal: You mean the movies AND the comics? Because they are doing gangbusters with them, far better than Marvel at the moment. Movies are pretty dead through.
"I met with Marvel in May 2016, and they were actually telling me the story of Ragnarok with concept art and images. The Russos came in, and I introduced myself. So, all four of us sat down, and they said this is how Infinity War begins. My whole journey through making Thor: Ragnarok, I knew this was coming. By the end of Thor: Ragnarok, Loki has been accepted as Thor's brother again. When I came to shoot the scene in Infinity War, I think it's very powerful he calls himself an Odinson, and that closes the whole journey of Loki." - Tom Hiddleston
That last clause is a big hint.
Anyway:

The only way I think he appears again is when they go back in time and it's Avengers Loki. Unless he gets told something that changes his actions in the future and means he never actually died.

Heres a serious question. Is his illusion always a mere hologram or can it even be strangled? Thor throws rocks through him so definitely a hologram sometimes. Being the god of mischief can he alter his illusion making it more than a hologram to change for the sake of making people think its not a hologram. Id have to watch dark world again but i forgot exactly how he faked his death.
So when all else did he use an illusion?
After hulk gets beat down the screen shot shows all thanos children but no loki. As hes telling them to retrieve the other 2 stones loki comes into scene from behind a wall. He was allready scared of thanos and gave up the stone so why would he not go for the grandmasters ship instead commit suicide trying to stab the man?
