Yes, Cap is only pulling against less than 1000 pounds there according to this: https://comicvine.gamespot.com/forums/gen-discussion-1/mcu-captain-america-strength-calculated-1879992/

Luke can do that

I always imagine Luke causally pulling the ledge of the helicopter and just nonchalantly letting the tail end of the copter hit his face with no ill effect.

@jayc1324:

It should still be around a 3,000 lb feat. He doesn't just stop it from leaving. He pulls it back in, so he would be pulling against the whole 1,000 lbs of remaining force and the weight of 2,000 lbs. Technically, it should still be 3,000 pounds. I still think Luke can do it.

@spambot: He struggles to lift several hundred kilograms of concrete, ain't no way he is 5-10 tons range. Hell, he has no lifting feat to say he is even a 3 tonner. On topic, yes he can replicate this feat

No. Pretty sure he has 0 lifting/pulling feats comparable or above this one.

Lol at him being a 5-10 tonner.

Luke doesn't have lifting feats even remotely close to suggest he can do this. But we all can generally agree to the fact that Luke is a bit stronger than Cap. I mean the Gap isn't much but he's definitely stronger. So by that logic, yes he could pull the chopper and perhaps won't have to be pushed to his limits like Cap did. BTW even if it was implied that Cap was exerting himself to his limits in this feat, the calculations come up to be 3000 lbs of force that he's curling. But his most impressive feat is still during WS movie when he lifted the metal beam up to his chest. That beam could've weighed more than 5 tons.

Different muscles were being engaged in the two activities. They're not that comparable.

@the_magister: Oh yes. you're right. In the helicopter case he was sort of curling 3000 lbs which is impressive since the max limit the human humerus bone can endure is more or less 300 lbs before it snaps. He was sort of deadlifting the beam.

@deltahuman: Yeah, the beam deadlift engaged the back and leg muscles to a large extent, two of the strongest muscle groups in the human body. The curl mainly engaged his bicep and forearm, although he rooted himself using his legs.
