Some people argue that Iron Man is planet level due to blocking the power stone beam. This is especially popular in Narutoforums.

People use the fact that Star Lord, Drax etc also survived power stone punches to argue against this notion. Although I don't think this argument works. Thanos only used light Power Stone attacks on the street-mid tiers to knock them out, while he used a continuous beam on Iron Man while he had killing intentions judging by the fact that he stabbed Tony the first chance he got.

But what about the fact that Gamora's statement that the bigger the target, the bigger the Power Stone surge? I asked this on Narutoforums and they said that Gamora was only referring to passive releases of energy like a sigle tap and also that Thanos couls control the stone with IG, so that he can adjust the intensity of the beam.

@authentical: When did I personally say IW Iron Man was planet level? There's a forum claiming that, not me.

@starsprime3: You talked about a bunch of nonsensical things. Such as the boulder, "megaton level" snap and now planet level Iron Man.

@authentical:

How are they nonsensical?

Boulder is thrown by Kurse, who is above Thor. Simple scaling.

Megaton level snap is in the movie itself. Even then, I specifically said that the snap was megaton level (which is literally canon), not necesarily Thanos himself. Read that thread again.

I'm not claiming anything with Planet level Iron Man question.

@starsprime3: The script confirmed that the snap is energy spread out over time. 6000 megatons isn't what he took.

@authentical: Firstly, what do you mean by over time? The Snap was an instantenious thing and was measured in KE.

Secondly, I've already said that I agree Thanos didn't necessarily take all 6000 megatons himself.

@starsprime3: It's the energy needed to vaporize half of the universe probably. Nothing hints that Thanos took anything on that level. Only MCU fans would believe that.

@starsprime3: no, it would contradict Thanos, Hulk, and Tony himself getting wrecked by 5800 Mt continental level snap, which seems to be the intended upper limit for power in the MCU

@kryptonianking88: Your comments are probably some of the most delusional things I've ever seen. How anyone can believe that Hulk can beat the whole league is beyond my comprehension. It's obvious you don't know what a speedblitz or a knockout is, and Hulk is still a loser who blew up his skin and lost every fight he's been in.

No, it's ABC logic. Thanos was also jobbing during that whole fight and likely didn't shoot a planetary level blast at Tony.

Honestly, why are you guys so shocked at this? Thanos was bloodlusted and we have seen Power Stone casually surface-wipe a planet in seconds but Tony blocked a direct concentrated blast from it, the blast couldn't get through the shield. It's not much of a stretch to think that Tony could scale to the Stone.

This may not necessarily be a consistent feat for Tony if it's legit but the idea of this feat is not inconceivable.

Also, I never said that I necessarily thought that IW Iron Man is planet level as this was a question.

@authentical: salty as usual. The whole league is 3 fodder that can't so much as tickle Hulk, early Iron Man level Aquaman, and Diana who was holding back in the Memorial scene and gets bodied physically because that's all she can do morals on.

@ready_4_madness: The Power Stone casually destroyed a planet's surface. Thanos had killing intentions when fighting Tony but Tony's shield blocked a continuous stream of the Power Stone. The Power Stone couldn't overpower the shield.

I'm not saying this blast was necessarily planet level or that this would be necessarily consistent with the rest of Tony's feats, but it's not that much of a stretch imo to think Tony scales to the Power Stone in this particular scene.

@starsprime3: it is a stretch, if I'm not wrong, the stones seem to react with organics. I mean we literally see thanos punch his armor apart without using the stone

@DammeFavour: What do you mean organic? Is a planet surface considered organic? Iron Man's armor isn't organic either.

As I said, this may not necessarily be consistent with Tony's other feats or Thanos is just that strong I guess, since he would scale above Tony either way.

@starsprime3: No he definitely is city+(potentially mountain level since I did some calcs on the meteor feat) though for other reasons. Although I will say I don't think saying guys like Starlord survived is a good comparison because Iron Man took an extensive blast and the fact that it was slightly damaging him shows that it was a much more powerful blasts since Tony's durability dwarves street tier's.

Iron Man could take a good bit of the power stone though. An unstable less focused blast had fodderized Ronan and Iron Man had tanked a power stone punch(the same type of attack used to briefly KO Captain Marvel) in the gut. The stab Thanos gave Iron Man was a fatal one believe it or not. There could be an argument that the attack potency of the power stone blast was still at surface wiping levels, but I just don't see it personally. EG Iron Man is even stronger on the otherhand.

@lilbroomstick: I agree with your point about street levelers surviving. That's what I meant in the OP too. I have seen people use the fact that street levelers survived Power Stome blasts as proof against this Iron Man feat but there is a clear difference between those two Power Stone blasts.

This feat may or may not be legit but people's street levelers argument doesn't debunk it.

@starsprime3: Blocking the Power Stone is also a really good speed feat for Iron Man when you consider how fast it traveled across the surface in Guardians of the Galaxy. The speed could definitely be better than the blasts used against street tiers. It would be around mach 5306.612

Yes. He took a power stone blast from Thanos who had killing intent. All the mental gymnastics in the world won’t change that.

Maybe... but it's also possible that the Power Stone's blasts don't always have the same amount of force behind them, even if they look similar.
