OT: Comic Doomsday can
DCEU Doomsday would adapt into the gauntlet
The comic version can't.....
Only the DCEU version.
^^
Lol, all versions of doomsday in an amalgam get one shotted out of existence, and the timeline before any chance of adaptation can even be thought of. Lol. Whoever voted yes is a troll.
This should be locked. Wow. No x100000.

You do know that it's a joke thread right?

Poe's law. And two, still making spite threads for reactions is still against the rules.
I would argue that he could if he is exposed to it repeatedly. As in the user of the IG doesn't just wipe him from the pages of history and settles with blowing his head off or something like that.

He wont adapt. Strongest version of Doomsday aka HP was hugely disintegrated by Imperiex Prime to degree that he couldnt heal back without help of Lex Luthor later. He was reduced to bones pretty much. Thanos with IG is easly well above Imperiex Prime.
No, that's a stupid question.

That was PIS, also known as inconsistent with previous regular feats.
Doomsday's regular feats proved that he can adapt to anything. What is so different of those feats from the Infinity Gauntlet?

Not a piss, he adapted to many things, but couldnt adapt to something at level of cosmic tear. Difference? Like IG can remove his capability of adapting? Doomsdays high end feats dont even come close what IG can do.

I think Impeiex's effectiveness had less to do with the 'tier' of his power and had more to do with the type of beam he used, which I think was something like a weaponized beam of entropy.
@theonewhopullsthestrings: @theonewhopullsthestrings: @supermanforever:Well, this is actually not a battle thread. So the question being here is, if you use the IG on him, not with the purpose to stop him, but to slowly let him build immunity, which is something he does, would he eventually get there. I honestly believe he would. He was really quick to adapt to Willpower energies of the Guardians and start feeding on it.
Of course, the IG is infinitely more difficult to do, but given Billions of years and an IG wielder who is not trying to instantly delete him, i think he could do it.
@chimeroid: Oh come now man. Adam Warlock and Thanos with Infinity Gauntlet erased Eternity, the physical embodiment of the Multiverse, along with other Cosmic Entities who have Universal/Multi Universal and Multiversal level feats. Even if the user allows him to adapt over and over for eons, he can still negate those effects either with reality alteration or time manipulation. No matter how much he adapts, he will never reach a level of the cosmic entity or develop the ability to control Universal aspects. That would be a No Limit Fallacy, and Thanos already destroyed Cap's shield, which is also a walking excuse for no limit fallacy arguments (I hope that statement makes sense). The Infinity Gauntlet was above beings who were considered to be Nigh-Omnipotent. Doomsday is not gonna adapt to that. And even if he does, any skilled user can just wish him out of existence regardless (the embodiment of existence itself was erased by it).
@krleavenger: Remember, the user is here now to help Doomsday achieve this. And i am not saying by giving him powers, but by going step by step and allowing him to adapt. there are limits to IG's powers. And there are limits to Doomsday's abilities. However, from what we can see, he adapted to Omega Beams rather quickly and to Guardian's energies. So, what is to say that, given BILLIONS of years and a bit by bit of the IG's powers would not make him immune to it?
Hell, from what we have seen, he can adapt to feed on the energies. So, if we give him 10 billion years to learn to feed on energies of the IG, then another 10 billion years to feed on its energies, i can imagine him resisting it.
@chimeroid: My post was a bit longer than I wanted it to be (I was repeating myself a few times, sorry about that). Anyway, I explained why I don't think Doomsday can adapt to the Infinity Gauntlet (or anything close to it), but if this conversation drags on, I think it might be the best if we agree to disagree.
===============================================================================================
I don't know why bringing up Infinity Gauntlet's limitations is necessary when everything and anything has limitations aside from TOAA and the Presence. A lot of higher tiers tanked Omega Beams (Superman, Mary Marvel, Orion...) so I'm not sure why that is a big deal. Doomsday tanked attacks from the Guardians of the Universe (while being amped by the Green Lantern ring), something Hank Henshaw replicated. It's not like those attacks have the potency to erase the Universe.
I mean, Doomsday was erased when he was sent to the Entropy, and he wouldn't come back without Crisis in Time created by Parallax Hal Jordan. He came back and was confirmed to be stronger than ever (I have the scan) even compared to Hunter/Prey incarnation and he was still destroyed by Imperiex Prime, who is below Marvel's top tier cosmic entities. Even if you give Doomsday billions of years to adapt, it is still nothing compared to the life time of the Universe, something cosmic beings can easily erase, along with other beings with no physical form or limitations (Doomsday's powers work because of his physiology and genetic code, so he will always be hindered by it) who have the power to control other reality warping beings and consume Universes.
The point is, these beings just exist on higher scale than Doomsday. Doomsday is a walking powerhouse, but he will still be a being that can't leave his physical form and was created at some point. He can't adapt to things that can erase Universes or creatures that have the power to literally defy logic and Universal laws by warping reality. Any Cosmic Entity can just erase the concept of adapting from existence, or just make it that Doomsday was never even created. Doomsday is a creature that can adapt to physical attacks in any form.
But there are two things that he wasn't able to adapt to. The end of the Universe and Imperiex, both of which are things that even low level cosmic entities can replicate. Yes, Infinity Gauntlet has limits, but those limits are beings who are second only to Creator/God, so it does not mean much. No matter how much time he spends adapting, the timeline can still be erased. And if the creation itself can be destroyed, I don't think why Doomsday can't (he's still just another science experiment).
@krleavenger: My point was that DD adapted to absorb the energies of the Guardians. The point was not about him tanking it. And the forces of entropy are what takes him out consistently. So yeah, i can see the Time gem alone deleting him. However, i still pose the question of Doomsday draining the energies. I know i am posing an NLF, but this is not a battle. This is a general discussion thread that poses a question that prompts us to create perfect conditions to try and do this.
IG is not an energy reserve which grants wishes like a CC
It's freaking IG and gives the user total control of space, time, reality, power, mind and soul of the host universe. If the IG user wants to have DD adapted to it, they can do it with a twitch of fingers and then remove the"adaption" with a blink
Wait someone is seriously arguing that Doomsday can adapt to the IG?
