Could Azula melt through one of these shields? She can't use more than one attack and the attack can either be a projectile or a stream she holds no longer than 5 seconds.

Melt meteorite within five seconds? I don't think so. And those were already liquefied anyway. So, it's impossible by default.

In 5 seconds, no. But if Kuvira held them and Azula used a stream of fire for a while, possibly.

Aren't they liquid?

When Kuvira blocks, it seems like she makes them solid

Meteorite metal when hardened was shown to be superior to steel. Implied to possibly be superior to any metal on avatar earth. And this was being bent by Kuvira. Azula has no feats of melting or busting pertaining to metal of this quality or anywhere close. We've seen enhanced firebenders and combustion benders struggle with less. How long it would take her if she got multiple tries or a maintained attack is speculation.

Definitely, we see the solid shield crash into the panels and fall to the floor after Korra broke it.

And Kuvira and Korra both hardened the liquid for projectile attacks that smashed into things.

Over time easily, her vaporizing this wave takes far more heat energy than necessary to melt metal and thus meteorite as well:

Let alone that even Kiyi could do this here as a total beginner:

But just 5 seconds with a single attack is definitely not enough, and just blasting the shield away would be anyways far more efficient.

So if no one thinks she has any projectile or stream(different from larger set moves) that can do it fast enough, I'd also make another point on speculation.
The Zaofu sheets, often used in AvatarVS topics, were so heat/blunt force resistant, they took significant exposure to a pool of lava and multiple combustion blasts without being destroyed. Even the time it took for Suyin and Co to travel to the top of the dome, prepare the wires and drop down. And the meteorite metal should still be superior.
I'd say Korra concaving it like that with a single air blast is easily in the top 3-4 potency feats in the verse.

@tektonic: why do you think the meteorite shield is superior? Is it because of Sokka's sword's feats?

Also im curious as to what the other 3 potency feats are

Yes combined with Kuvira's top tier metalbending.

Will discuss that later lol.
