Example superman draws his strength from the sun and hulk from his anger. But could they increase their strength by just working out? Wouldn't their high durability prevent the breaking down of muscle tissue thus strength gains via working out would be impossible? What do you think??

Don't really see the point given how they get their strength, would seem pointless to me.

This simply varies from work to work with no consistent answer. Characters like Superman don't seem to get stronger from working out. While a character like Mr. Incredible is shown to benefit immensely from working out.

There is no consistent rule for this throughout fiction.

They might. They might not.

Depends on the character.

Well if i learned anything from shonen anime sure but most dc heroes get dere power/strength from out side sources ie supes/sun ac/water fate/helmet of nabu ect however dere is no evidence 2 say dey cant get stronger from training hell many would argue fighting super villains is a work out on marvels side i believe the thing has gotten stronger from lifting weights

Depends on if their abilities are natural or come from an outside source. Also their durability wouldn't make it impossible for them to workout, they need to lift or generate enough weight/force to damage those muscles and tendons.

Yes. Especially if the plot demands it.

It all depends on the plot/writer nothing more. I wouldn't try to apply too much real world logic to it.

Superman works out sometimes, lifting many times the weigh of the earth iirc.

Street-levelers who technically have super-strength like Cap and Deathstroke work out a ton.

I think I remember Spiderman working out.

There are probably lots of other examples.

Some can, some can't. All depends on their powers and how they got them.

If there powers are given to them by an outside source ex Juggernaut then no.

But if its from within like she hulk then yes.
