Executive decision is that voting will end July 6-7th (maybe July 5th). That gives us two final weeks to get any more voters. I love these lists, but this one has been extended for way too long...I am setting this date because I want to see the result and if we ended this week I wouldn't be able to see what people thought for a week, so I blame the week extension on the selfish host :P

It was nominated like the rest of the stories. If you are not happy with where it placed (like if you want it lower), I might suggest using your votes to vote up the stories below it (thus bumping it down). That is one stratagy people use on these projects you could use. or you could vote for the stories you liked. whatever you want...

It's like in some order that was easy to list roughly alphabetical by title then numerical - thus the ASMs are in chronological order right now e.g.:

Because there is no way Amazing Fantasy #15 is the best Spider-Man story - even remotely (most historically significant perhaps, but best - no way)... it just came first alphabetically.

This list DOES have an inital order based upon the cosigns from last step (I have you cosigning a few things, but it's been a few months since we did that step).

You are correct in saying in spots it is alphetized. However, all the stories have some total from cosigning whcih we used to make this inital order. In the spots the story totals had ties they were automatically alphabetized.

ex:

1. Amazing fantasy #15
2. Amazing Spider-man #50
3. The Death of Gwen Stacy
4. Amazing Spider-Man #300

all of the above have the same ranking based on cosigning. You can look at votes to see which title is ahead such. I will not deprive you of that information.

However, I can not stress enough that voting DOES matter. This is a very rough estimate of what the list will be like and there are a number ties, but it is an estimate never the less that you should REALLY pay attention to.

As you have sort of noticed and I can confirm without giving any totals there IS a tie between 55-79 of the initial order, so there is a little leyway on the actual ranking of this group of stories, but there is a possibility that the story that @jedixman didn't like will make the list. You have participated in my lists before so you might know that I never guarantee any story 100 % to be on the list, but I believe my advice still holds importance because unlike past lists we only have 110 stories. that means there are only 10 slots for the runner up list and thus better chances of stories staying on the list.

The story in question is ranked 70. What does that mean exactly? There is no guarantee it will be on the list and there is no guarantee the other way either, but it does mean that it is 30 slots from being off the list. Heed my words and my warning. if you find something you disagree with...fix it now while you still have chance to

Well, I'm a newbie, but those stories really amazed me. I loved all the Brand new day era. In AvX, that was what Spider-man is all about: never giving up. And in New Avengers, he was the glue of that group. Haa good times... I can't stand this Superior non-sense, AMS 700 was the worst comic I've ever read, not only because of what happens.
